"Great business-like hotel, hard to fault"

"The hotel is very dated. Interiors are probably 30 years old not in a pretty way. The shower was not working, the bathroom was of a weird configuration. But the worst is the brown fluffy carpet on the floor. From the good things - the bed is ok, linen was clean and of good quality. "

"We arrived to check in and the manager said sorry people who were staying there already wanted to stay an extra night so we were booted out. He did reserve us a room in the next town down the road another 10 minutes. I guess a reservation with this hotel is not really a reservation "

"It is a real castle that you stay like in middle age but with modern comfort e.g. villeroy & boch dinning wears, heated towel bar ... The restaurant and rooms have good view. The breakfast are excellent. They pay a lot of attention to details, even to the boiled eggs - 5 minutes and keep them warm in a blanket wrapped basket. Extraordinary experience."

"Bathroom was a bit tight. Restaurant was great. Staff were very helpful. A relaxing place to stay. "

"Basic, but absolutely fine. Entry is by code, supplied in advance. If you don't get this, you can't get in although there is a contact number on the door outside. Clean and comfortable, plenty of breakfast options."
