Super easy checking and nice guy at the front desk. I love that there is a kitchen area, huge bar area to put stuff and a place to work. Full size fridge too. Great place to stay and being pet friendly is just an extra bonus!

The stay
Jill was amazing from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. We did experience one rude front desk attendant which was named Steven I mean we were full of sand and could not get any clean towels remain you it's for adults and my lil baby I was very upset over that. I mean I would have even got towels and washed them any who well I spoke to someone about it and Jill helped us once again she apologized for the inconvenienced and we even was able to have a late check out. So thank her and if your ever in matagordor ask for her she's amazing...

It appears we had a system glitch because this just showed up today so I apologize about taking so long to get back with you. I apologize for any issue that you had regarding Stephen, I have never had any complaints about him in the past. I am pleased to know that Jillian was able to assist you. We do require that when getting clean towels, that they are exchanged with the dirty ones because of supply issue. I am not sure if this is what might have encountered or if I am misunderstanding. I would love a chance to fix your issues that you had here with us and show you that what encountered was not a normal circumstance, so if you are ever back in Bay City, please dont hesitate to reach out to me on here and I will be more than happy to assist you in what your needs may be.

Dear Marina, Thank you for your feedback regarding your most recent stay at Candlewood Suites Bay City, Please know that we take ALL feedback from our guests to use a training tool so that we can do better to meet our guests expectations. We went through a tough time there for awhile with having a good reliable housekeeping staff but we are the middle of getting that changed up. I have hired some new staff and I am very pleased to see their work so far, I do hope that if you come back to Bay City, that you will give us another chance to prove that we can do better. We want you to feel as though you are Home Away from Home when traveling and I know that this may have put a sour taste in your mouth but we are working hard to correct any and all past housekeeping issues.

room smelled like mold. found some on the wall. wife was sick all weekend from allergies, only felt good when left hotel room. do not think the high reviews were well deserved. with the weird smell (we tried two different rooms), definitely mold. hotel was not new, think it was remodeled, with the mold painted over.

Little getaway
Better than expected! Room was big and the kitchen was the topper. We like to prepare our own meals and this was a bonus. Free hot coffee available at the nicely stocked necessity store. Will definitely book again. 30 min to the beach.

Very nice, spacious room with beautiful kitchenette that had all the dishes and things you would need. Bathroom also spacious and clean with a great tub and sink area. Loved it!!

staff was very professional and friendly, the bed was comfortable and the property was quiet, I had a good night sleep. Due to issue with covid there was no breakfast but free coffee which was greatly appreciated. Location was good there was a convenient store that was walking distance that had hot breakfast options. I will stay there again next time I am in town.

We stayed here for the night and I found big roaches in my room. My boyfriend notified the front desk and they didn’t do anything about them!!!

Dear anoymous, I am sorry to hear that you found a tree roach in your room. We have our hotel regularly sprayed for all bugs but sometimes due to weather conditions little critters such as the common tree roach will make its way inside. I will use this as a training tool with my staff to make sure that they are aware that they can spray the room if needed and not wait on maintenance in the morning.

Great Place !!
When we go back to Bay City we do our best to stay here. Love the kitchen in the rooms. No complaints from me. I recommend this hotel.

This hotel is cheaply furnished. Recliner chair was broken. Could not adjust room temperature. Smoking receptacle lay broken on the ground for 2 day stay. Hard to believe prices are usually higher than HI Express next door.
