"Great place for our family of four with extraordinary service. A short walk from the city centre, and even without a car we managed to get around to both Mont St. Michel and D-day tours with great help from our host and her local knowledge."
"Worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I' spent 55 years travelling on business every week so I've stayed in many.
I wondered why it was so cheap but it was one night only after a ferry crossing so taken in by the nice pictures on the website I booked it.
More fool me"

We visited many Normandy towns during our visit and honestly feel like the town of Bayeux is the perfect place to base yourself for a couple day visit. It's charming, centrally-located, and is filled with a number of excellent dining options.

Bayeux is full of history and is not as commercial as other tourist well-known tourist destinations. The town offers an atmosphere that provides respect for fallen heroes but also caters to those looking for dining options.

Do things before 7pm as the town closes early, restaurants, shops etc. close at 7pm. You will find a few restaurants in hotels that might be open but for the most part the town closes early!

The shop owners were inviting and knowledgable. A great selection of stores - Saint James being our personal favorite. Dining in Bayeux was also great with a wide variety to choose from.

In addition to the closeness to D-Day beaches, Bayeux has a lot of attractions itself in a small package.

A small quaint city which lets you go back in time. Almost every structure dates back centuries.
"The hotel was very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful! There was plenty of things to do in the area as well as restaurants. The hotel had a great bar as well! "
"The hotel is beautiful, in an old mansion that was once inhabited by writer Gustave Flaubert. The rooms were nicely sized, and room amenities (water, coffee, etc) were replenished everyday of need be. Staff were So friendly and helpful. Our only constructive criticism is that the WiFi was not very strong: it was in and out. However everything else was wonderful! "
"Very helpful and kind staff. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Very convenient location. Restaurants and tours were close. Could see the Cathedral from my window. Economical and close to everything. Would stay again"
