We had a great stay in early November. There is a shooting range close by, lots of public property for hiking, fishing and just enjoying the amazing views of SW Colorado. The home is all on one level with lots of room for a big group. The manager Danielle was very responsive and everything was as advertised.
We were thrilled at the layout of the place which was spacious and very clean. There were a few domestic items that we felt should have been easily found and available, but since we shop at walmart for fun, it was not a problem for us to purchase. The beds were on the hard side. The drive to durango was surprisingly easy and quick! The mountain is quiet and we never saw another car on the road! We would return to this wonderful home in the future!
Second time staying here and everything went well, just like the first time. The property is secluded and met all of our needs. We plan on coming back again.
This place is perfect for that relaxing getaway. Great location for Silverton and Durango activities or to just sit, relax and enjoy the view.We will be back!
This was the perfect getaway for our family and fur friends to escape the Texas heat for the month of July. The listing is exactly as described and the host is very responsive. We had no issues with the house or host for the entirety of our stay. The house is nice enough to not feel like you’re living in a dump, but not too nice that I was worried about my kiddos breaking things. The kitchen was stocked with all the gadgets that we needed. Easy to get to, quiet, and we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets!
if you have damage protection don’t expect the host to help you
My family stayed there. There were some things accidentally broken. My granddaughter sat on the edge of the bed and it collapsed, the toilet got stopped up per the host, trim in bathroom was chewed by dogs, she claims it needs to be professionally steam cleaned. Trash was left in garbage can & one other sack. She charged 850. we paid but she didn’t help us with getting us invoices or estimates so we can’t get our money back. So now even though we had accident protection we’re not getting our money back. The host could have provided us with invoices and estimates
Enjoyed the scenic drive to and from the location. Durango was no more than 15 minutes away. Not an issue for us at all. The property came as advertised. Two families(total of 8) divided the house thus allowing for semi privacy. Well maintained and all amenities included. The owner, Danielle, responded immediately when questions were posed.
The house was spacious. Good size living room, kitchen and we like the sitting room with a fire place.....though we didn't use it. House was cozy during cold nights.
A couple of items to improve upon.......driveway and mirrors in bedrooms. The room we stayed in didn't have a mirror so my wife had to wait until restroom became free. I drove a F250 2WD and made it up without problems......and it poured one night. Still, good to improve the last stretch leading to the house.
