"The kitchen was very well equiped though I didnt find the nut crackers until our low country boil meal was over. The pool was perfect and plenty of floatation toys for everyone. THe available beach chairs very plentiful.Location was ideal with beach and walk to town a convenient distance. Aĺl in all our family, including 8 grandkids, had a wonderful time."

"Beautiful view, nicely decorated, and fully stocked rental. A few things though…. bedding and towels should be included in the rental price, but we had to “rent” linens. We each got one bath towel, one wash cloth, and one hand towel for the entire stay. That was inadequate, especially for the rental price and the dollar store quality of the towels. The property appeared clean, but the odor of the living room furniture upholstery was off putting. It smelled as if the last guests sat on them with their bare bottoms. It should be professionally shampooed or replaced."

"We had an absolutely great experience staying at Tranquil Tide! Coleen was a wonderful host, and the condo looked very nice and updated. It had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation in Duck, not to mention a really nice view of the ocean. Highly recommend!"

"Host was very responsive with questions before. House fit our 3 families needs perfectly. Each family has there own level for bedrooms and bathrooms. Lookout deck was so relaxing. You can hear the ocean from the top deck. The large wagon with big tires was a lifesaver with transporting beach stuff. Community center was a huge bonus with indoor/outdoor pooks, large playground and pickleball and wallyball courts. Teenagers took advantage of the workout out facility. Perfect location to beach and Duck. Never had to get back in the car. Walked or biked everywhere."

"This property met our expectations and the location far exceeded our expectations. Every day as we discussed our day, location came up. We couldn’t have asked for a better location, quick walk to the boardwalk or the beach The golf cart was a fantastic help getting chairs and umbrellas to the beach. Every toy was there to have fun with,also. It has a great kitchen , a cooks dream.Robin was very quick to answer any questions that came up. I think we all felt like my grandson,”can we stay here forever?” They loved the pool ."

"Our party of 17 (one grandpa, seven millennial parents, and nine kids) had everything we needed. The house has marvelous carved wood and bamboo furniture and details. The kitchen has everything you need (check all drawers and cabinets the first day). Everyone liked the heated pool and hot tub. It’s a long walk to the beach—maybe 0.6 miles. Nice that it’s limited access. Parking by the beach is limited but we found spaces. House comes with many bicycles and canoes and kayaks (didn’t check for paddles).The house was a bargain for high season. That said, it needs some fixing up. Some bedroom lamps don’t work. First floor windows don’t lock. Some toilet seats are loose, and some toilet handles need jiggling to avoid constant running. Top floor is very roomy (two large gathering rooms) but largest tv doesn’t work. If we’d paid the usual rate for houses this size in high season, these would have been bigger problems. As it was, we rolled with it. Traffic is worse every year—weekends a nightmare. Duck is the bottleneck."
