"Having stayed at several other properties on Bailey Island over the years, we were looking forward to our stay at Atlantic View. While the views and location did not disappoint, the best way to describe the home itself was "aggressively average". Immediately upon Entering, there was a stale, damp , odor, a mix of stale air and air fresheners. The home itself is super clean. There is no personal touch to the property and the amenities were basic, clearly giving rental vibes. The floors are worn in spots, the bedding ,particularly the pillows ,are in need of replacement. Some windows don't open. Some windows lack blinds, curtains.Nothing egregious, but just a combination of things to consider. Of note, this is 3 story home with multiple steps. While the photos are clear and accurate, this is something to consider if mobility is an issue. The master bathroom is SUPER tiny and the other bathroom is in the lowest living area, so there are steps to use either. It is advertised as 4 bedroom however the 4th bedroom is twin trundle in a "bonus room", at the top of the steps, not really a bedroom, more of a sitting areaPros.... location, size of home for families, dog friendly, easy check in,outCons... cleaning fees are considerably higher than some, basic amenities,"
