Top beach near Vista Boulevard Hotel Reviews
Palace Hotel Port Townsend
8/10 Good
"Well maintained historic hotel in downtown Port Townsend. Very friendly and informative staff."
Harborside Inn
10/10 Excellent
"It's not the newest hotel with the latest interior design but it was nice enough and plenty clean. Having a balcony that opens up 50' from the marina is one of a kind. Loved that. It was cool."
The Swan Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Clean room, great location. Fun marine animal sightings in the area right along the beach. Easy walk to coffee and restaurants."
Manresa Castle
8/10 Good
"We loved the old feel of the place. IT was fun to step back in time and experience Port Townsend."
The Bishop Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Wish the food/bottle service had the option of opening earlier than 8am and closing after 8pm, but there were glasses in the room and the ability to purchase earlier in the day to sit in the garden and drink later in the day. Kids slept well on the pull-out sofa bed and the garden was close enough to the room that our audio monitor covered them, while we had some parent relaxation time. Easy access to the main drag and good deer watching at all hours."
Dove's Perch, An efficiency Studio at Robin's Nest Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Clean, quiet house and neighborhood, comfortable bed, great shower, lovely garden! A nice, 30-40 minute walk from the Uptown and waterfront areas, which we loved as it built in more exercise. If you are planning to eat all your meals out, this is a good set up for that."
Comfortable Yurt
10/10 Excellent
"What an amazing find this was! Traveling to Port Townsend in the summer can be costly, and so I was delighted to find this beautiful glamping spot. Everything about it was delightful. First off, it’s located off the busy main roads and feels remote even though the main grocery store in town is less than 10 minutes away. Despite the seclusion, I felt safe and secure while at the property even while being a solo traveler. The yurt itself is massive—so much so that I worried the A/C unit might have trouble cooling down such a large space, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it cooled down inside after switching it on. It’s perched on the side of a hill and has a deck the wraps nearly the all the way around the yurt. Deck chairs are set out to allow you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings by day and the stars on a clear night. Inside, there’s enough room for an entire family to eat, sleep, and generally coexist comfortably—at least, for a short while. There is a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle and kuerig coffee maker. There’s no plumbing at the yurt itself, but there’s a full bathroom in the main building that is accessible with a key. Also, there are plenty of power outlets available for all of your charging needs. I really enjoyed my time here and hope to return. Would definitely book again."
Historic Inn near Port Townsend
8/10 Good
"This is a very quaint property which my wife and I enjoyed for 2 nights. It is not fancy but clean, very quiet and has a host who is very easily reached and goes above and beyond (she cleaned our room herself when the housekeeper was called away on a family matter). Good WiFi but there is no television (for better or worse). We did not take advantage of the wine tasting on the property (not sure if there is any during the week when we were there). Plenty of space in our room which was easily accessible by one flight of stairs. Comfortable bed. Lit primarily by lamps. Might be a little dark for some readers but had a handy flashlight at bed side. Centralized microwave and hotpot (although the microwave did blow a fuse one morning when making tea). Historic Inn and property and fun experience."
The Washington Hotel
8/10 Good
"This is a self-help apartment. It was very expensive. We were afforded no early check in, even though we far in advance notified them that we had a complicated situation. As a result, because we were at an event, could only check in late. Check out is at 10AM, which is an obnoxious, creeping habit of hotels and air b and b's. It does not take six hours to clean a unit. Also, the stay requires a download of an app, but we did not receive check in information (just an email with a broken link) so had to spend time with tech support to get access. Given the price, which was in excess of $500, we expected nice amenities. There was a Keurig with paper cups and instead of drinking glasses there were plastic cups in plastic bags, like you would get at a cheap motel. There were plastic utensils piled in a drawer down the hall. No bottled water or collective filtered water. The unit was nice and decorated in a quirky and cool way, and the space was comfortable- or would have been had we been able to enjoy it. Our night was the same night as a big event in town, so we may have been victims of an algorithm, but the value just was not there. If you can get a better price and don't mind checking in late and leaving early, it is well located (a bit noisy) right off the main drag, and convenient to everything. Parking is at your own risk, as the parking is posted at 2 hours, but the hotel says it is not enforced. We did not get a ticket, so it held true for us."
