"Overall, it was good. One burner on stove did not work. A few lightbulbs were burned out.The gas grill did not work the first time we wanted to use it, but the owner brought in a different one the next day for our use for the rest of our stay. The large deck was shaded from the sun, and a pleasant place to gather. However, some of the deck chairs need repair or replacement.The front yard along the driveway would have been a great place for the kids to play outdoor games, but 6-8 black angus escaped from inside the wire fence along the the driveway daily, and relieved themselves on the lawn. It was entertaining for the kids but eliminated the desire to play in that area, which was dis appointing.We road on the nearby bike trails, tubed down the Kickapoo River, and hiked in Wildcat State Park, which was all great, and the kids had a great time."

"We were in the area for a wedding but would have been content never leaving the property. Cute and cozy with plenty of amenities. Beautiful landscape to enjoy coffee in the morning, sauna and hot tub for relaxing. Views from all angles of seating around the house. Easy check in and check out. We would love to come back for some time to simply unwind!"

"This was a very quaint property with beautiful views from the covered front porch and an easy distance from town. Great fishing within a quarter of a mile walking distance and just a great getaway."

"Very peaceful area that is well situated for exploring the Kickapoo valley. The cabin is large with plenty of space to house a large family. Host checked in to ensure we got in okay and had what we needed. We would like to come back for a fall visit sometime."

Small Cabin on West Fork Kickapoo River

"Our family loved this place! It was bigger than I expected. We enjoyed fly fishing and catching crawfish. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at the cabin. The property was very peaceful. Sitting on the porch listening to the River was relaxing. Lots to do nearby. We shopped the antique stores in Westby and the farmers market in Viroqua. The host offered the bunk house that we didn’t end up needing but if I brought more people I would definitely add it on next time. The cabin flu fishing decorations were awesome. We hope to make it back in the future for more fly fishing!"
