MCRD Parris Island Grads & Families: Bungalow by the Bay in Beaufort Beaufort SC

Tastefully updated with comfortable furnishings, Fully equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, living room with dining area to seat six, family room with Smart TV, main bedroom with Smart TV (there is NO cable for tvs), attached bathroom & closet, two additional bedrooms share a bathroom, carport, front porch, screened side porch, back deck, large back yard, fire pit, gas grill, fully fenced front and back yards. Smart systems in place including Smart door locks, Honeywell Smart thermostat, WiFi, and Simplisafe security system, Please note that the front porch does NOT have railings and is approx. 30" from the ground, the family room floor has a slight slope to it as it was once a back porch, bathtubs/showers do not have grab bars. There are 3 SimpliSafe exterior cameras, two Ring doorbells (Simplisafe & Ring record motion and sound), no cameras inside the house.

10-minute walk to Historic Downtown Beaufort and the Bay, Waterfront Park, The Point with antebellum mansions, museums, cemeteries, churches, art galleries, ice cream shops, restaurants, bars, antique stores, clothing shops, home decor stores, and beautiful Beaufort River views.

15 minute drive to Parris Island for MCRD graduations, 25 minute drive to Hunting Island (parking pass included) for beaches, historic lighthouse, visitor center, walks & nature. 5 minute walk to the Spanish Moss Trail for walking, biking and running, 10 minute drive to Cypress Wetlands for wildlife including gators, turtles and birds, 10 minute drive to Shell Beach for shark tooth hunting, 15 minute drive to Penn Center for Gulluh and African American History, one and a half hour drive to Charleston, one hour drive to Savannah and Hilton Head, 45 minute drive to Bluffton. So much to see and do!!!

If you are going to Parris Island this house is perfect. Just a few blocks from the main road to the base. This house is immaculately clean and the kitchen has everything you need to cook a Thanksgiving meal. The pass to the state park saved us a bunch and the beach was beautiful! The beach chairs were awesome to take to the base for visiting day and to the beach. Beautifully decorated and room for everyone. Three areas outside to relax including a screened in porch in the evening. Seriously this house is perfect!!!

Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. 3 beautiful bedrooms and plenty of room, we enjoyed the backyard in the evening. Everything was supplied for our extended weekend stay. Super clean and comfortable

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay! House was clean and comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. I wish we would've allotted more time to spend in Beaufort. We spent most of our time in Charleston and Savannah, but it looked like there were places I would've liked to explore near the house. Cute downtown area and close to the water.

Charming and comfortable!!!

We had 6 of us there for 4 days and the house was so cute!! It was decorated for Halloween which was a nice touch! The house is located in a nice neighborhood on a very quiet street. It had everything you could need for a family to be able have a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything, even spices! Highly recommend!!

Perfect place

We needed a place to stay close to Parris Island for our Marine's graduation. This bungalow had rooms and beds for everyone, it was exactly what we needed! Luckily it was well stocked, we had forgotten some basic items but to my surprise the home had everything we needed and more. If I'm ever in the area for another graduation I will be booking this bungalow again!

Beaufort is a nice vacation destination

The property is nice. The house is decorated so nicely, was very clean, and we had all that we needed for a week long stay. The neighborhood is quiet and there’s not much traffic on this side street. The backyard is pretty private. Over the course of a week, we never saw or heard any neighbors other than one day we saw the neighbor readying his boat. We loved our stay in Beaufort. A carriage ride in the residential area was fun and we learned a lot about local history. We explored Port Royal, Hilton Head, Hunting Island, and spent a day in Charleston. It was a perfect vacation and we chose a great VRBO property!

Great place for Marine Graduation

This house was a great place to stay for our Marine's graduation from boot camp. The house was very clean. Beds were super comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe. Close to shopping and restaurants. Only 15 minutes to Parris Island. Take advantage of the pass to Hunting beach. It is beautiful and worth the 30 minute drive. If we are ever back in the Beaufort area we would stay here again!

Better than Advertised

There was no detail left to be considered. The decor was comfy and cozy, with local pieces mixed in. This place had EVERYTHING you could possibly need (I am short and there was even a step stool next to the bed as it was tall). They had snack and water available, a fantastic book with things to do in the area, plenty of linens...everything, really. I will stay at one of these properties again in a heartbeat.

We made a wonderful choice when we reserved this home.

The cottage is charming and it has anything you could possibly need. The owners thought of everything you might need, or did not know that you did need some item. It is at this house. Very clean, nicely appointed. Neighborhood is pleasant and quiet. We walked to the downtown and it was a wonderful walk, passing friendly folks, beautiful homes and friendly pets. Then we got to walk along the bay. Would absolutely recommend a stay in this home.

Weekend Stay

We absolutely fell in love with this place. It was clean, beautifully decorated and had every amenity you could think of and then some. Beautiful private back yard in a quiet neighborhood. Perfectly located and not too far from downtown and surrounding area. Kelsey provided a very informative binder of things to do, places to visit, restaurants, cab companies etc.. we hated to leave. We travel a good bit and this is one of the nicest VRBOs we have stayed in. It is a keeper. We will definitely be renting this place again when we come back to visit. Kudos to Kelsey!

Wonderful trip to Beaufort

My wife and I recently stayed here for a week in October/November. The house is updated and is located in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located close to town only 5 minutes away from restaurants, shops, and historical areas. We rented bikes and rode from there into town and all over via the Spanish Moss Trail which is only a few blocks away from the house. The house was super clean and neat with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was great to work with and communicative. We had such a great time exploring the area and just relaxing on the front porch swing that we decided to stay another night to which the owner was very accommodating since there was not anybody scheduled for our original departure date. We were able to extend our stay and glad we did. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

Beaufort vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Kelsey’s cottage, the cottage itself was super cute, very spacious and extremely cozy, the kitchen has everything we could need, the bedrooms were large and comfy, the master bathroom had a beautiful blue tile, the entire cottage was inviting, we felt at home. The cottage is walking distance to downtown and the Spanish moss trail is really close. The backyard is huge and there is even a shed to use (where we stored our bikes). We were happy to come back to the cottage after visiting Beaufort and the area. We wish we could have stayed longer. Neighbor’s dogs and cat were very friendly and greeted us when we arrived. Highly recommended this place! Kelsey was very easy to communicate with, very responsive and gave plenty of useful information. Such a great host and place!

Wonderful House, Great Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our six-week stay at Kelsey's Beaufort Bungalow. The location was terrific: a 10-minute walk to downtown Beaufort on the river, a short distance to the Spanish Moss (Walking/Biking) Trail, and easy access by car to the amazing Port Royal Farmer's Market and Cypress Wetlands Trail. We were minutes from grocery stores and restaurants. A SC state park entry pass was provided by Kelsey, allowing free access to nearby Hunting Island State Park, a local treasure. The kitchen was well-equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, and basic supplies, enabling us to easily prepare meals at home. All of the large and small appliances that we used were in good working condition. The house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our sunny mornings on the front porch swing and our afternoons on the sunny backyard deck and the shady screened-in porch. We were thoughtfully greeted with wine and snacks when we arrived. Kelsey provided timely and complete responses to our various inquiries. We quickly settled into our "home away from home". We highly recommend this property. We will be returning next year!

We all enjoyed our stay visiting my great nephews graduation from the Marines. The house was beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood. It was wonderful sitting in the backyard having the kids play in the backyard. The house was very beautiful, stylish and clean. Had no issues checking in or out. I would definitely stay there again if I’m in the area. We all had a great time. Thank you so much for a beautiful home.
