Cozy Home in prestigious downtown Beaufort neighborhood! Large Fenced Yard!
Recently Purchased from John and Erica Dickerson! Purchased by their manager Melissa and her mother Beverly! We promise to provide the same level of service and cleanliness as the previous owners.
This is a precious little house built in the late 1940's. It is well stocked with most anything you may need for your stay and then some!
*NEW - ALL of our properties are being disinfected with Diamond Disinfectant 1000. It is a Virus Killer, Sanitizer, Disinfectant, Allergen Eliminator, Mold & Mildew Inhibitor, and an Odor Eliminator!* We have an extensive cleaning regiment between guests to ensure a clean, sanitary environment for your stay.
Please review the current policies for COVID 19 and cancellations with VRBO if you are concerned about this at all. This is our current policy in relation to that: 1) We will now recommend that you purchase Travel Insurance, and that your Travel Insurance Policy will be responsible for ANYTHING COVID related. If you have to cancel or leave early, your insurance must take care of any refunds you may want. 2) Should you or ANYONE in your party become sick while staying at our house, you WILL hold us harmless. Our houses are cleaned to a standard above and beyond WHO and CDC guidelines between each and every guest. If you get sick, you must agree that it is NOT our fault. 3) Should you or ANYONE in your party become sick while staying at our house, all in your party will vacate our house immediately and notify us so that we can protect our staff and future guests.
Back to this wonderful house:
It has one king bedroom and one queen bedroom, sharing a totally renovated bathroom with a beautiful glass shower. There is a 40' HD flat panel TV in the living room, and another 32' in the den / laundry room. The dining room seats 6, and there is a full kitchen with all new stainless appliances. There is a full size front loading washer/dryer in the den.
The screened porch has seating for 4, and there is an outdoor patio and deck for dining al fresco! The huge fenced yard is filled with lovely old trees, nice and shady! *The yard is fenced, but PLEASE take responsibility for your pet, should it be approved. We cannot be responsible if you leave a gate or a door open of if a pet escapes. All pets are different so please inspect the fence for your pets use!*
Since our FABULOUS Spanish Moss Rail Trail is just 4 houses away, we provide bikes and helmets and locks - and a detailed map showing additional 'back roads' to get you all over downtown and our wonderful historic district!
Our home is only a couple minute drive from downtown Beaufort, 5 minutes from Port Royal, and 10 minutes from Parris Island main Gate. It is centrally located making it perfect for vacation, exploring the area, or also military graduation trips. We are also about a 20 minute drive from Hunting Island State Park and we provide a park pass for your use during your stay as well.

This was a wonderful home to stay in if you have dogs that love to vacation with you! The owners are super accommodating and make every effort to make your stay perfect in every way. Our small family loved this place!
This home is a gem. It is very clean, beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The owners offer lots of information about the area and downtown Beaufort. The street is lovely and quiet and offers an easy walking space. And the Spanish Moss Trail is steps away, great for walking or biking.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location was convenient for everything we wanted to see. Above all we appreciated having our dogs with us; they loved the yard! Communication with the property manager was excellent.
We loved this property! Wonderful yard for the pups. Everything we needed for a nice stay. House was in good condition and clean. Loved being near the bike trail. Unfortunately a personal emergency meant we had to cut our trip short, but would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area.
My wife and I stayed at the Hermitage House and everything was great. The house is perfect for a couple or small family. The house was very clean and the backyard was great for pets if needed. The location to downtown was less than 5 minutes. Would definitely stay there again.
This home was the most well equipped home we have ever stayed in. Everything from extra toilet paper to books and large size cleansers this house had it. The neighborhood was lovely and close to town but very safe and quiet for walking the dogs. Having the rail trail 2 doors down made early Morning walks so easy and fun .We will be back
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this property. We also brought our 2 standard poodles and they absolutely loved the huge backyard. The home was perfectly clean and inviting. Beaufort is beautiful and the location of this home couldn’t have been better for us.
The location of this home was great. It was very clean and had everything to make our stay comfortable. The beds are a+! Very close to all amenities. The back yard is so peaceful. Having the bikes to hop on the spanish moss trail was wonderful. Highly reccomend!!
Our stay was wonderful!! The absolute cleanliness of the home was superb and the beds were awesome! Don't know the make but sure would want to purchase one!! Our dog, Teddy, a bichon. loved the back yard!!
This is our 2nd time staying at Hermitage House. We originally booked because they allow pets and decided to stay there again the next time we came to Beaufort. The back yard is amazing and the Spanish Moss Trail is close by for walking. The property is very clean and fully stocked with everything you can think of! Melissa is very responsive to questions.
This property was our hands-down favorite of 4 good rental homes on our southeast road trip. Terrific location, super comfy furniture/ beds, unique fun touches in house, THE BIKES and nearby trail, so much to do and see in Beaufort and surrounding areas, free state parks pass to use, and excellent amenities. WE WILL BE BACK!!
To say that the property owners thought of everything is an understatement. The home was clean, beds were super comfy and every aspect of the listing was spot on. We loved staying here with our two dogs because it was less than 1 block to the Spanish moss trail where we could take daily walks. I would highly recommend renting this property and would gladly stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at Cozy Home. The 1950’s era Cape Cod home with its original hardwood floors and upgraded bathroom were very comfortable. The shower head had great water pressure!
By far our favorite part was the fenced yard. We enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the back porch while watching our dog romp through the yard. Playful squirrels and flitting birds added to the ambiance.
The house was cute, clean and location was perfect. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need. Melissa is great, and got back to me super fast if I had any questions. The yard was perfect if you bring your dog. The Spanish moss trial is literally 2 houses from the property. We used the bikes that the house comes with but if you are a biker bring your own. The trial is 10 miles and it truly is stunning. Beaufort is amazing. Restaurants were very good, downtown is beautiful. It's very close to Charlston for day trip. Hunting Island state park is a must.
So much to tell! This property is cute, clean, has a hugh backyard and has everything one needs to enjoy their stay. The property is close to downtown Beaufort and the Spanish Moss Trail. Lots of great restaurants and things to see within a short distance. There is a fantastic Gelato/Coffee shop downtown and I can't forget to mention "Forrest Gump's" chocolate shop the "Chocolate Tree"...to die for chocolate and other delicious treats. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming home, located in a lovely and very convenient neighborhood. Upon arrival we were immediately made to feel welcome with the lights on and soft music playing. I was particularly impressed by the luxurious bed/bath linens. So nice not having to dry off with a tea towel!
We were traveling with our 4 legged friend and he (as were we!) was thrilled not only with the large back yard, but also the proximity to the 10 mile rail trail, which we enjoyed for daily walks. There’s a Publix just about a mile along the trail which made for a pleasant bike ride to pick up a few necessities. The downtown/waterfront could easily be accessed by foot, bike, or car and we spent many pleasant afternoons strolling in the park and enjoying people watching and shrimp prepared in a variety of delicious ways. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails on the screen porch, watching and listening to the birds and the antics of squirrels.
We loved the area and it’s rich history, friendly people, and delicious food and highly recommend this Southern Charmer for a stay in the Low Country.
Everything you needed and wanted was there. The usual utensils, cookware, coffee pot and keurig, beach chairs, and even bikes! Washer dryer was a plus. The information book provided on the coffee table of all the local shops, restaurants, parks and even a park pass! Beautiful yard with table and chairs and umbrella and also a screened in back porch. Fabulous location between Beaufort and Port Royal! Loved my stay!!
