This property earned the name from our grandchildren as we turned into the driveway 😀
The descriptions on the site were accurate, but I can add a few words. The decor is lovely, bright and features local artists (explained in detail in the visitor notebook). The kitchen is spacious, clean and well-stocked with utensils and cooking gear.
There was plenty of privacy; the fully fenced back and side yards provided lots of “run-around” space., There’s a picnic table too! A cozy screened-in back porch gave us a quiet place to listen to birds and tree frogs as we all wound down from our busy days.
The large bedroom on the first floor features a king bed, large dresser, full bath with tub/shower and a walk-in closet. I had dibs on this one lol, glad I did! Two bedrooms, a landing with two dormer windows and full bath upstairs gave lots of room to play, nap, goof off and make forts.
The front porch is wide and welcoming, with two rocking chairs that were constantly in use. I especially liked the sturdy gate at the outdoor stairs. It’s a reliable boundary for little ones or fur babies. Don’t miss the tire swing tucked away in a corner of the front yard…not just for little kids 🥰
It’s easy to reach all the attractions/shops/restaurants/military installations from this location. Keep in mind, this is a real neighborhood, so there are variations in what surrounds the “Happy Yellow Cottage” most properties are well-kept or improved. Also, there is a noise ordinance in town, so group parties or boisterous shenanigans are not tolerated…plan any celebrations for early in the day…and respect the neighbors.
We had a lovely time, thank you for becoming part of our wonderful vacation!
