Rustic Authentic Michigan Log Cabin

"It is was an amazing experience. Rustic is exactly what you get. The views , the cozy feeling, the tranquility and peaceful feeling you get just sitting or even when you are falling asleep listening to the waves crash and feeling the breeze is worth it all and you forget everything. The only thing I would say should be part of the description is , there are snake dens very close to the cabin, although not dangerous or venomous (thank God) but for someone who might have a phobia of snakes that could be very threatening to them and they could get hurt. Also the water it is well water it comes out very white and has very bad smell to it. I do suggest you bring water bottles or you make sure to the boil it before drinking it. They say it is drinkable but I couldn’t bare the smell of it. Lots of bugs in and around but nothing a good bug spray and fly swaps can’t take care of. Oh one last thing the beach is very very rocky, so if you are looking to swim you have to walk a good amount (about 150 feet maybe) before hitting ground that isn’t slippery rocky or shallow. So water shoes are a most!!! There is a sandy beach about 10 min drive from the cabin."

"Excellent Hosts and place! Carol was very helpful in telling us what places to see as well as having a car rental spur of the moment so that we could tour the island. The room was great and well equipped. WeLoved our 1st stay on Beaver Island and we will be back. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this beachfront house! We’d definitely stay here again. The layout was great, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook comfortably. Also close to town. The house has a relaxed, rustic charm, clean and comfortable (especially the beds!). The beachfront location was truly amazing and made the whole trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable, laid back beach getaway."

"This place was perfect for us! The stone stands out, but the views from this property are what really sets it apart. The huge windows, positioning on the bluff and orientation toward Garden Island all combine for the most breathtaking views right from the couch. The kitchen and bath were well appointed and the bedroom offered breezes and comfortable sleeping conditions. We really loved the location, which was close enough to town to pop over for a drink or ice cream, but far enough to feel off the beaten path. The little park just a short walk down the street offered great access to the lake and nice little daily adventure without getting in the car. The property manager was generous with information and accommodations. The Little Stone Cottage is the perfect place for you to get away from it all and experience Beaver Island the way it should be. We hope to return again soon."
