"The cottage was perfect for 2 for an anniversary get away. Convenient to Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown without being congested. A number of restaurants in the area. Watching the sunset from the river dock was beautiful every night. Although we only ate breakfast there, the kitchen seemed to be equipped with most everything you need. Although we had no problem, the narrow steep stairs to the bedroom could be an issue for someone with mobility issues. Overall a very nice place to stay if you like a quiet time."

"House was conveniently located. Kitchen was well equipped except knob broken on one burner and knob missing on oven. Bed comfortable. Faint musty smell in living room. Perhaps a deep steam clean would help."

"This adorable cottage was perfect for a weekend birthday getaway. It was close to Zoll Vineyards and restaurants in both Mathews and Gloucester. We enjoyed the huge screened porch for sunsets and the dock was great for fishing and for simply taking in the surrounding scenery. The Piankatank River is so special!"

"The cottage is an ideal spot to relax, reflect and reset. The water views of the Piankatank River are absolutely stunning. Whether I was eating my breakfast on the outdoor porch, having a cup of tea on the deck, or reading my book in the sun room at night, the river was always in front of me to offer its subtle beauty. The area is very quiet and my dog and I took long walks around the neighborhood. I wasn't able to take advantage of river activities due to the nature of my visit, but when I come back, because I do intend to come back, I will certainly spend more time on the water.Communication was excellent with the host. I highly recommend this rental"
