Quiet Comfortable Cabin 5 Min. Walk to Swimming and Boating

  • Remember the simple pleasures of a country, lakeside vacation where you can spend the day swimming or boating, exploring the countryside, or just read the afternoon away on the screened-in porch? Get back to those simple pleasures in our cabin, located in a beautiful, quiet country setting in the heart of the Berkshire Mountains. The cabin is just a five minute walk to a lake where you can swim, fish (catch and release-permit required), kayak or canoe (boats, paddles and life jackets provided). Or spend the day exploring the many surrounding towns with antiques, restaurants and shopping galore; take a drive down a country road looking for roadside farm stands; go for a long walk in the woods; or explore the nearby rock quarry (the app AllTrails is a must have for this!). At night, have dinner at an outdoor restaurant, grill on the deck, relax with a glass of wine on the porch, roast marshmallows, do a puzzle, or enjoy your favorite streaming on our Roku TV with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more. The house has one large main room with living and kitchen areas, and two small bedrooms.
    The larger room has a queen bed with a comfy mattress and luxurious linens. The smaller bedroom has a full-size bed and narrow twin upper bunk (for children only). There is a cozy screened-in front porch with lounge furniture and fan, and a back deck with gas grill and seating for four. Between the natural setting and nearby cultural and outdoor attractions, you're sure to find plenty to do here to relax and have fun at a safe distance from others.

Very cute cabin surrounded by trees. Great to be able to cook in your well equipped kitchen with the option to bbq outside if you wanted. Loved the evenings around the firepit. Enjoyed having the kitchen extras, loads of towels (for swimming too ) and the use of Bose speaker.

Great Cabin with great walks neaby

This cabin was comfortable and well equipped. The big advantage was the nearby opportunities for walks and swimming. There's also a great breakfast/lunch restaurant/store less than 5 minutes away by car.

Sherwood Forest Gem

We’ve stayed at the cabin with our dog four times and always enjoy our peaceful stay. It’s cozy, clean and private. Also, the Sherwood Shoppe - just down the road - is a wonderful place for breakfast, homemade chili and much more.

Sweet getaway

Wonderful House in the Berkshires

Modern cabin stay!

We loved our stay! The cabin appears to be recently renovated with modern appliances and furnishings. We got quite a bit of snow during our stay, and someone came to plow the driveway for us. A well-stocked kitchen was also helpful while we were snowed in! The cabin is close to Canterbury Farm, which we loved for cross country skiing, and close to Lee for restaurants and shopping. The host answered our questions quickly!

Great Times

Very nice place! It was easy to communicate with owner and check in process was breezy. Area is very nice with walking distance to a lake and a short drive to the Lee outlets. We spent most of our time out canoeing with the life jackets, canoe and paddle required. House is rustic but a perfect place to get away and enjoy the outdoors.

Great getaway!

My family and I stayed for three nights to get away before summer ended. The house was very clean and comfortable. My 2.5 year old son absolutely loved going out with me on the canoe. And the town of Lee, a short drive away, has lots of good restaurants. Overall, it was an excellent experience. Thank you!

Wonderful cottage and location

The cottage was perfect for us two. It’s so quiet in Sherwood Forest. Great area to bike, kayak and walk. Very peaceful. So close to Jacob’s Pillow, such a treasure. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking ware. Sherwood Shoppe, just a mile up the road, is a treat for breakfast, coffee, good low key hospitality. Highly recommend.
