"Elle’s lodge was perfect for a weekend break for me and my partner. It provided simple but efficient amenities. Elle was a helpful and friendly host who came down to the lodge on one occasion to help us get the oven working! We also did not have to wait until the afternoon to check-in as the cleaners were done earlier than expected. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is visiting Bath or the surrounding area. "

"Kitchen / diner area is a great space but the house is tired with walls missing paint, garden overgrown, most of the toilets have temperamental flushes and it doesn’t sleep ten as suggested. 9 people max which was a surprise when we arrived as a booking of ten. Owners did accommodate extra bedding when informed and the property is clean with good bedding and towels. "

"I've not stayed in a Greene King hotel before (I've plenty of experience of their pubs though!) but it was a nice place to spend a night. The hotel seems fairly newly built and is clean and comfortable. Pros: the bed had plugs and USB sockets right next to it (I hate hotels that make you plug your phone in on the other side of the room). The staff were friendly and welcoming, and gave us extra towels as soon as we asked. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, which honestly is all you really need. Cons: about the only downside was that the shower head is one of those that is fixed to the wall (or actually the ceiling, it being one of those "rainforest" shower heads that are currently so popular). I personally much prefer a shower on the end of a hose so that you can properly wash all of yourself, not just your hair! We didn't try the adjacent pub for our evening meal but it looked like a decent place to eat. Overall this was a very pleasant place to spend a night during our travels."
