"We loved the location of this place and found it had everything we needed in excellent working order. We didn’t love the additional cost for linen and felt the doona’s were not clean. Overall it was terrific and would recommend it but bring your own linen."

"Comfortable house with great facilities. Bedrooms are large and comfortable. Nice living areas. Location is excellent - short walk to almost everything. Only comment is that the backyard is mostly concrete so if you're travelling with dogs they may want to be allowed out the front from time to time. Not a problem though."

"Bootmakers is cosy, warm and full of character - rustic, quirky, full of vintage curios and surprising discoveries. Owners have thought of everything guests could possibly need, including ample breakfast provisions and pantry staples. Located in the centre of the lovely little township - with gastropub and shops a short walk away, and a short drive from the wonderful Brae restaurant. Would love to go back when the weather is warmer to take better advantage of the large courtyard out the back...

"Wonderful location with beautiful views. Enjoyed exploring the Otways and relaxing at Ackton Shores. Yard was secure and perfect for our dog, and house was well appointed for our needs. No WIFI was a welcome change, and the one airconditioner upstairs funtioned well. Perhaps a ceiling fan in the downstairs bedrooms would have been nice during the unusual heatwave. 9/10"

"We enjoyed the location and the modern house. However the shower down below didn’t drain properly, the septic tanks gave off a smell that lingered all weekend, the spa wasn’t that clean and no chlorine available to use. Didn’t wreck our weekend, but they need to be addressed."

"Negative = House has no name 'Bertram' or number on it? Both rear doors had no keys? however staff rectified this promptly. Cars can be driven to rear of house and easily unloaded to upstairs kitchen and bedrooms. We understand its pet friendly but carpets were filthy and should be floorboards or tiles throughout (same as kitchen & dining areas) or carpets cleaned regularly. We were told further renovations/improvements are happening. House was very clean in and out but has a musty smell and...

"Awesome house for a group in a beautiful location but a bit further from the beach than advertised."

"Bad smell in unit when we first walked in. We discovered it after 24hrs. Smell coming from drain tray on the back of the fridge with rotten milk in it. Can’t fault the amount of towels for unit. Had to wait quite awhile at reception to get pool towels. No one at front reception to check out."
