"Advertised as a private room but was actually a dorm (same story reported by other travelers). Sheets instead of curtains. Told off for talking at 11pm. Noisy repairs underway from 7am. Floors never swept, tables sticky. Gave the property 3 days notice I would be leaving early but they still refused even a partial refund for the remaining nights, leaving me hundreds of dollars out of pocket. Absolute money grubbing. Stay away."

"This is a hostel - don't come expecting hotel luxury. Having said that, I found the following great: extremely cheap, has everything you need, VERY friendly and helpful staff."

"The property has the best location for visiting the palace and for shopping. It is a 15-minute walk to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. It’s also a block away from Wangfujing, one of Beijings shopping hubs. If you want to go to Universal Studios, the express train at Wangfujing station, which is a walking distance, will bring you there. Just take the line 1 train and Universal Resort Beijing is the terminal destination to the east. Being at the Center of Beijing, it is also close to a number of restaurants and transportation is never an issue because busses pass by the hotel and taxis abound. The property is clean as well as the surrounding area. The room I booked was spacious and linens are clean. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. If I’m back in Beijing, I will book in the same hotel again."
"this hotel is modern and in a good part of the city. A 1905 catholic church across the road was the highlight for me. Hearing the mass in Mandarin was lovely. Also the hotel is close to shopping and easy taxi or subway rides to get around to the tourist locations.
Staff are helpful and professional. Buffet breakfast is not perfect but it's great to eat there on your own schedule and then get on with the day."
"We had a fantastic stay at the Regent Beijing. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and impeccably clean, with a luxurious atmosphere throughout. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went above and beyond by decorating our room for a special occasion, which made our stay even more memorable. We truly appreciated the thoughtful service and would happily stay here again."
"This is an extraordinary hotel. Beautiful unique decor in the spacious standard king size room. Very quiet & comfortable. Loved the shower and soaking tub. The lunch buffet was also excellent and reasonably priced for the quality. I would stay here again."
"Great Location and Value, with a Few Minor Connectivity Issues
My wife, our son, and I recently stayed in a twin bed room at the Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-town. Overall, it was a great base for our family trip. Here are our main pros and cons:
Pros:
Excellent Mall Connection: The hotel connects directly to U-town, which is incredibly convenient. After landing in Beijing around 4–5 PM, we were settled into our room by 6:30 PM. Being able to just head downstairs for a quick, delicious dinner before jet lag set in was a lifesaver.
Location: Situated inside the 2nd Ring Road, making it a very convenient pickup spot for tour groups. It’s also only about a 30-minute taxi/DiDi ride from the airport.
Fantastic Fitness Amenities: The gym is fully equipped for strength training, cardio, and yoga. The separate side studio is a major plus if you want to do your own HIIT or yoga routine without taking up space on the main floor. The indoor swimming pool was also a huge hit with my wife and son.
Value: Exceptional value if you can book it for under $100 USD/night.
Cons:
Unreliable Wi-Fi: The internet connectivity was a major downside for me. While I could connect to the Wi-Fi network, I frequently got no actual internet access. This ended up eating significantly into my cellular eSIM data plan.
Average Views: The view from our room was nothing spectacular—just a standard view of the city blocks.
Verdict: Despite the frustrating Wi-Fi, the location, price point, and amenitie"
"I got to the hotel well past midnight, but the shuttle was still running and I was able to get to the hotel from the airport in 5 minutes time. The hotel was immaculate and the room was absolutely stunning. I enjoyed my short time there and wish I stayed longer. The front desk catered to my every need from the time I arrived to the time I departed. They made my last day of a 17 day, 14 country trip an absolutely wonderful experience. I am happy I chose Hilton to top off my tour around the globe."
