We were always greeted respectfully and always had great service. The lodge owners were also present during our stay and they are very nice. All the meals were wonderful, and the game drives were excellent, this lodge give you something to eat and drink on the game drive while you are able to see the wildlife.

We were very lucky to have the lodge to ourselves, it’s beautifully decorated & nothing is too much trouble. A mini bar & WiFi in the room would be nice as having to keep going to the main lodge was not ideal. Will definitely be returning to this beautiful place

Disappointing stay

The advertisement is misleading. The chalets are not in Mabalingwe and not part of Phumelelo lodge. They are in a small reserve with hardly any animals. A lot of the crockery items were not clean. The chalets is not suitable for a 6~sleeper. We only had a small bar fridge. The double bed is in the are which should be the living area. The gate to the reserve is not manned or locked so safety is a concern. We will definitely not be back. You can get better value for your money elsewhere.

Perfect weekend getaway - breathtaking views

Beautiful lodge, with amazing, breathtaking views. Perfect weekend getaway, quick drive and good route from Johannesburg. Very intimate and personal. Also had a great room, with outdoor and indoor shower and free standing bath tub.

Familiäre Lodge mit super Ausblick & Top-Service

Wir haben die Phumelelo Lodge als Zwischenstopp für eine Nacht auf unserem Weg vom Krüger Park nach Johannesburg gebucht. Die Anfahrt war nicht ganz leicht zu finden, da der Name der Lodge nicht beschildert war. Die Lodge befindet sich in sensationeller Lage mit Blick über das gesamte Bela Bela Reservat. Die gesamte Anlage ist top gepflegt und sauber. Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Die Lodge ist mit 4 Zimmern eher klein aber sehr sehr schön. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, das Essen ist fantastisch (es gab Barbecue). Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt außerordentlich. Sehr zu empfehlen!
