Hidden Gem on Beautiful Golden Pond

"Our family had a wonderful stay at Ross’ two homes on Great Pond. They were comfortable, well appointed, beautifully decorated, with great lakefront access in a quiet wooded area. Ross was very responsive to a question that arose during our stay and went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfectly in order. Many thanks for the hospitality."
Spacious Home on Salmon Lake

"I am originally from the Belgrade area, but now from away, so I know the lake and the area very well. For summer rentals this property was extremely well maintained, the HVAC was great, as were the beds. They had all the things you could want for kids and adults both in terms of outside and inside recreation including foosball and ping pong. The outside was perhaps even better, it is on a quiet cove with a Great Blue Heron as a neighbor as well as an immature bald Eagle, King Birds, Kingfishers, etc. The water level was perfect for kids, and then deeper further out for adults, with a float.The one major lacuna was the lack of an ice cream scoop! If you’re not from the area I would recommend two places in Oakland: Early Bird Diner, Sunrise Bagels, and the Ice Cream Shoppe.The bottom line is that the family and I had one great summer Maine vacation there. Highly recommended."

"Having grown up at my own camp in Belgrade Lakes (Ellis Pond), it’s always special to get back. What a perfect little sanctuary Little Bean provides. While the dual sides lake access was special, it was the sound of the rain in the pines and the chorus of morning birdsong that brought me back. Will absolutely look forward to our next stay here."

"It’s a lovely home and well appointed. It’s a bit of a walk to the water’s edge, but worth it. Bottom floor has a lot of clutter, but we really didn’t need the extra space. Would definitely go back another time. It was a great spot for a family reunion."
Luxurious lakefront home with 750' of spectacular frontage on Great Pond

"This is a beautiful property on a flat lot right on the lake. There’s a large dock and float to swim to. It’s not a sandy beach so little kids cannot walk in but we had mostly adults and it was perfect. There is also a pontoon boat at the dock available to rent, which was very convenient, as well as kayaks and a large fire pit right on the water. The house is exactly as shown on the website with plenty of room for a large group to spread out and cook together in the very large, well stocked kitchen. The cottage is rustic in style but very roomy. There is no air conditioning in the cottage but there were two large fans and we were comfortable. The owner met us when we checked in and was readily accessible for questions before and during our stay, There is a local caretaker who came over if anything needed attention and he was so helpful and also very available. We rented for two weeks and hired the regular cleaning person to come halfway through and she was terrific and very communicative. All in all, we had a great stay!"

"Absolutely beautiful view from our cabin. Cabin is simple but had what we needed. Beds were comfy! And the beach access is phenomenal. We could not have asked for better access - especially with my mother-in-law who cannot walk far. She was able to get into the water with no steps. Owner was very communicative. This was a last minute trip and worked out perfectly."
