We were so happy with our stay at The Lazy Acre. The property is beautiful and the cottage was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen was to die for. We would definitely come back again!
This place was so fantastic that we extended our stay! Beautiful location and property, and incredibly well-equipped home, with everything you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay!
Patricia was also very responsive and helpful as a host. Looking forward to coming back!
Amazing place to relax and take in the views. Kids loved running outside with our dog or sat and admired the view over the lake. Close to Picton to pick up anything you need.
Had a wonderful time in PEC at the lazy acee cottage, very comfortable and beautiful outdoors. All the comforts of home were provided. We had a lovely time!
My wife and two sons just had an awesome stay in PEC at Lazy Acre. Freshly renovated interior was very clean/cozy. Kitchen has everything you need. We will be back.
Property is tucked away off main road, clean and modern inside. All the amenities are convenient; parking, garbage, fire pit, water toys, etc. This is a nice little pocket where you can grab food, taste wine, and visit local treasures with limited driving.
Patricia is a wonderful host. The cottage is cozy and very clean. We caught (and released) many small fish off the dock, rented a pontoon boat on West Lake for a day and toured around Picton and surrounding towns. Dinners out at Stella’s and local Picton restaurants were very yummy. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Where do I even start? This house is exactly as described, and we have rarely been so pleasantly surprised at such a peaceful and scenic the view from a lakeside location. A hidden gem. The house has everything you need, the kitchen is super functional, and the kayaks are a nice bonus. Coffee on the dock at 8am is just perfection. Patricia was super easy to reach. Would stay here again, without a doubt.
The property had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend in the fall. The kitchen was well appointed, and dining in the sunroom overlooking the lake was lovely. Everything was super clean, and comfortable. The host, Patricia was responsive to our inquiries and the bottle of local wine was a nice surprise. It was a great location as it is close to the wineries and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay here, especially the outdoor area with the lake access, kayaks, fire pit, hammock, and beautiful view. We appreciated that the house was very well stocked with everything you need for cooking, towels etc., and was very spotless clean. The only downside is that the beds just weren't comfortable for our personal preferences.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at Lazy Acre.
The cottage is stylish and welcoming as were our hosts.
There's view of the water from the sunroom and we were treated by the pair of swans coming to feed.Of course the bottle of local wine was a very nice touch.
Thanks so much Patricia!
Our stay was great from the moment we walked in the door. The rooms were cosy and comfortable and the cottage was spotless. It was very well stocked from linens to plates/glasses/cutlery to coffee, tea, hot chocolate and spices. There was even all the fixings for homemade dressing as well as 2 bottles of local wine. The view was a stunning gift each morning, watching the sun rise over the water. I look forward to returning again!
We had such a nice time at the Lazy Acre Cottage, from the time we stepped into the cottage until the time we left there were only pleasant surprises. Patricia was a wonderful host and was extremely easy to get a hold of for any questions about the property. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with anything and everything you could want. We had a celebration with our girls for a new job and new house and there were even champagne flutes. Our favourite part of the property was sitting by the water on the comfy lounge chairs to watch goings on with our morning coffee and a cocktail before dinner. I can't say anything negative about our 5 day experience and the air conditioning was so very much appreciated as it was terrible hot those days. One more thing the beds and sheets were so very comfortable to climb into at the end of the day which was also very much appreciated, I'm very picky about my sheets. My family and I would definitely give the cottage and experience 5 stars and not hesitate to recommend the cottage and would love to return.
Great renovations that have turned this little home into a lovely open-plan retreat - great for socialising. Fantastic kitchen with everything needed to cook up a feast - including complimentary olive oil/ herbs etc. Truly a treat. A fully screened deck makes it easy to dine with a large group and a great view. A bbq is provided too. The house has aircon and comfy beds (my only wish would be for a down pillow.) The indoor living area/soft seating is small so rainy days get a bit long but the hosts provide games and the porch makes it pleasant to be “indoors.”
We loved the little pier and spent time in the two kayaks provided. (Note - no diving off the dock and the water has weeds.) we lived the big outdoor fire pit. There are, as expected, plenty of insects in the outdoors - be prepared to clean off the outdoor chairs of cobwebs etc.
Easy checkin with code lock on door.
Thanks for a great stay!
Our family have just returned from an amazing week enjoying The Lazy Acre.
The cottage itself was a great space for our group (varying between 2 and 6 adults over our stay) to unwind. It has been very thoughtfully renovated and the bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The AC was something we sought out in our cottage hunt and it kept everyone comfortable when indoors and overnight. The kitchen is the (indoor) centrepiece of this property. It is very well appointed with new appliances and plenty of kitchenware to support almost any task. The large island became a gathering spot as meals as snacks were prepared and enjoyed, while the sunroom was where we gathered to eat and play games, all while taking in the view of the bay.
The location benefits from an incredible waterfront setting, but is still less than 15 min into Picton and all that it offers. County Cider (and their great ciders, fantastic pizza and incredible view) is only 5 min away and other gems such as Jackson Falls Country Inn (and their fantastic brunch) are only a ~ 10 min trip.
All in all - I would recommend The Lazy Acre to anyone wanting to enjoy a clean, comfortable waterfront cottage in the County, but still able to do quick trips into Picton or the any of the surrounding attractions!
I stayed with my family at the Lazy Acre and we had an amazing time! The host was very easy to communicate with and the property was in great condition right on the water. Would definitely go again!
