The views from the balconies are stunning, the pool area is never too busy plenty sun beds and the location is excellent, we were in room 50, we loved our stay.

Excellent position near beach and shops and restaurants. Room was small and quite dated but was clean and bedding was changed every other day. Overall great value for money.

The location was perfect, plenty restaurants & a lovely Irish bar called" The Shamrock" was next door! One restaurant in particular along the promenade called "Wigan Bar" had a lovely menu & the food was great! Sunny Beach was lovely except for the shower, it was impossible to regulate & if you turned it too high it would flood the floor! Good size for a studio & the view was fab!! No noise at night & beds were fine! Man at reception was really nice & helpful with any questions we had, never got his name! Yes, we would go back but only if the shower was fixed!!!

rotted door frames and door in bathroom shower tray leaks over Plug socket hanging off in kitchen,taps blackend and rusted. Fan dirty and well rusted Overall the room was clean ,staff are helpful its at the point were a lot of money needs spending to bring it up to date .Its a shame its in a good spot for everything, nice veiw

The apartments were very old, the whole room needs updating badly, the chairs around the pool were old and some were broken. The towels and bedding were very old and need replacing. The only good thing about the apartments were the balcony with a sea view. We feel it should be a 1 star only rating.

The best location
This is an aparthotel which is basically a hotel room with a kitchenette! The room was very clean but tired. Bad bits: The kitchen was basic to say the least and couldn't get any hot water through (we used the basin water!). No facilities in the 'hotel' to speak of. No big mugs for our morning cuppa!!! Good bits: Location was superb, just a small stroll down (it's on a slight hill) to the beach. Restaurants all around, some great value and others not so. Lovely park just up the hill where there are chickens roaming free - unusual! Great walks along the prom for as far as you want to go (we made it to Torremolinos!). Beer could be found for 1 euro a pint if you are careful! Probably best to use the large supermarket (Mercadona) just up the hill for 'stocking up' as the local ones were expensive. Unfortunately, our week (12th - 19th March 2018) was mostly cloudy and cool but I am sure that when the sun does come out, full use can be made of the very clean looking swimming pool and sun deck.

Lovely view tired dated but very clean apartment
The apartment reception was large and very clean. The Staff were great. The apartment had one of the most fantastic views we have ever had and the area the apartments are is great for shops restaurants bars etc. The apartment itself however was very clean but in need of a refurbishment. Although this is obviously reflected in the price. The WIFI was a good connection even in the room. The portable television could have been bigger and although we were meant to have satellite tv could only get Spanish channels. The view did make up for the faults though. The pool area was very nice although as we stayed Feb 10th to 15th did not use.

Constant hammering everyday day even after complaining ,drove me absolutely bonkers, worst hotel stay ever (plus barking dog next door so you had some disturbstence even when the workmen went home, hotel should be SHUT during this work DONT stay here ! ! !

Sunny Beach Apartments
Although the rooms are slightly dated & functional, the sea view and proximity to everything you might possibly need or want in Benalmadena more than make up for this. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is a great size with a lovely balcony. The cooking facilities provided in the apartment were a fridge, a small hob & a microwave which were more than adequate for our needs. These give you options to have breakfast or lunch in the apartment or even dinner if you so wish. The pool area, although small is lovely. The sun terrace is perfect. Wifi is provided and it was always available if a little slow at times.

Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable enough. Kitchenette area was very cramped - not sure how much 'proper' cooking could be done, but we ate out or got takeaway from the many restaurants nearby. Great value apartments in a super location, sea view is definitely worth it, sun on balcony in the morning, nice and shady in the afternoon.

Stayed here 1st week in April '17; basic but had everything you need i.e clean bed/toilet, excellent shower + hot water, lovely pool! Fabulous view from the balconly overlooking the pool and beach! Central location - great value for the very reasonable price. Would stay again!

Great value for money. Clean, basic. Everything you need for a s/c break. Fantastic views from these apartments. Pool and pool area is clean and adequate for anyone's needs. Staff are great. Close to amenities in benalmadena, and bus stops for further travel. Currently these apartments are being upgraded, and those awaiting this are a little tired. However, value for money, this property is fantastic.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions as we like the area. All balconies face the sea and are south facing. The facilites are basic but this is reflected in the price charged. It's value for money but some travellers may want more.

Enjoyable stay.
The best thing about this was the location; pretty much right on the beach, and a minute walk to the Park. As well as a whole range of shops, bars and eateries within a few minutes walk. one downside would be the noise from the road, which is busy most times of the day. Staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Room basic but clean, and very acceptable for the price. Would stay again.

run down and cramped cooking area.
I.m short but the boiler cupboard sticks out above sink and caught my head several times. T v on dining table not on wall. only one plug socket available which is for micro wave and kettle next to sink. Some work going on top floors. Probably rewiring so obviously some updating. Manager very polite and helpful. My stay in hotel was pleasant on a personal level.

Basic,but clean & great position.
Although basic our studio was clean & bright with a brilliant balcony overlooking the sea. A kettle, toaster, 2 hotplates & microwave meant we could manage for making breakfast. No need for anything else for cooking as there's loads of places nearby to buy reasonable meals & snacks. Comfy beds, & a great shower with loads of hot water & clean towels every couple of days. Apartment could do with another mirror as the only one is in the bathroom. The pool area is clean & quiet with plenty of free sunbeds but could do with more umbrellas for shade. Reception staff were a bit surly apart from one guy who seemed nice & the cleaners were lovely. Down side...No air con & wifi had to be purchased at €20 for the week, but the room safe was free. You pay €10 deposit but get it back at the end if the week. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Sunny Beach. Ideal for an inexpensive base close to the beach, Paloma Park restaurants & bars. After all who stays in all week. As long as you don't go expecting4/ 5* luxury it absolutely fine. We'll definitely go back.

Dreadful place to stay
We checked out of this awful property after 3 nights. The electrics were unsafe the shower flooded the bathroom. The towels were in rags. The kitchen utensils & cooking area is extremely basic & unsatisfactory. The whole place needs total refurbishment. There was nobody on reception through the night and we woken by young Spanish residents in the next room ringing our doorbell at 4 in the morning. They then spent the next 5 hours conducting noisy vocal groaning howling & squealing. The walls are paper thin and every sound could be heard & I mean every sound. The owner was telephoned to attend as there was water from their shower that ran for over an hour running underneath their door into the lift opposite.He tried to make out he couldn't understand English. We paid up and checked out.
