Booked 3 rooms, double with full board. 2 for elderly parents. Had problems with the hotel taking the payments before we even got there- passed blame to us saying card expired! Caused panic as less than 7 days to go and worried will lose the rooms.
We had to make contact with credit card, who informed us it wasn't credit card but the hotel actually putting the numbers in wrong causing the payments to be refused??!! Then having to phone hotel to resolve, to be advised by a male member of staff who didn't speak good English, "maybe you have no money" my husband nearly fell off his chair!!!!! Lol. All very much uncalled for, as the card went through the next day!!! Rather poor show.
When arrived, took forever to check in with all the messing about sign this, sign that- around 12 pages, but already paid for! Took 30mins!
Asked a room on a high floor, with double bed- at least for my husband and myself, placed in a small room with single beds, on the 2nd floor!!!! Asked to move when checked in and was advised no!! Was rather surprised that the room was on the side of the hotel with view of next doors hotel-was there for 8 nights, yet lots of other people arrived afterwards for short Easter break and got pool rooms!!!
Couldn't fault the hotel staff in restaurant, lady on front door was lovely and attentive as were some of the others. The food was excellent and surprisingly hot on each service, also great selection and change each evening- very pleased.
