Not Good security! We had the gate frame altered just before your arrival as it was getting very stiff to open. 3 times I had to message you to ask if it was ok. My first message to you Hi Kelly, Hope you have a good journey to the villa today. Just a couple of things. I have attached you police registration forms. We have just had the front gate reset. Can you let me know it is working ok. Opening and shutting easily and the lock is ok. Copied and pasted from your message Morning Just to let you know that we have finally arrived. House is amazing. We have a problem with one air conditioning unit though. Gate is fine. Thanks kelly If there was a problem with the cleaning you should have told me. When informed after your departure regarding damaged window and broken bed, your reply, I was about to put the pics and a review on the Homeaway site as despite all the bad things that happened to us the villa was great and in a good location. I'm not sure what to do now. Do you want me to send my photos I took or what do we do now. Thanks Kelly. You called and said you got broken into, you said they didn't get through the front gate, I asked if it was still closed which you replied yes? The break in was 10.30am in the morning, you said he shouted to you and you saw him. Just like at home you do have to be security concious, you have to close shutters, lock gates etc as per my instructions on the details I send out. We use CRU property management, Again 3 times I said if you had a problem with their report to contact them. You never acknowledged it. You also have a duty as a guest and as per my instructions to report and breakages or damage with photographs in 24 hours.You never reported the bed you said you never slept in, you pointed out that the towels were still on there as the cleaner had left it. Yet the answer machine message your mum left says that you took the mattress upstairs to use on the sofa bed! You said you never opened any windows you used aircon? You also said you slept in the 2nd lounge and it was very warm, that has no aircon, Hard to believe in 30 deg you didn't open the window that was left wide open after your departure! You were charged £100 for the bed not the £60 for the broken window. You expected a pool cleaner daily. Its a holiday home not a hotel. He comes once a week unless you call him if there is a problem.He is likely to attend the villa around 6am to 8am. I never see him either Im always in bed! Make your own judgement..

Wow, not the review I expected! I received a text from you, within minutes I called you. We were there in 15 mins. I took 2 duvets (no bedding) out the cupboard only because we were called to the villa regarding the boiler. I spoke to one of your guests and said I wouldn't have collected them otherwise as we didn't want to disturb you! Perhaps you could clarify that with them. Friends of ours came with us who has in the past had a gas certificate for plumbing hence reason for bringing them. My husband had the boiler working when we left on Friday and you confirmed by text on Saturday that "seemed ok last night"but no hot water today (saturday) no water coming out of some taps. 10 mins after text we were at the villa and checked all tap filters were clear all had hot water coming out. We left and someone was filling the sink with hot water to do the dishes. My husband did show one of your guests how to plug in the electric boiler we have there should it fail again. There was no reason for no hot water! Why didn't you plug it in? How many places have a back up? If we were invading your privacy perhaps you shouldn't have bothered mentioning the boiler and lived with cold water. we were only there to help fix the problem! The management company did message me each time you had contacted them and I said we were at the property, there was no need for them to get back to you. I'm sorry the villa didn't meet your expectations. We were there within 15 mins every time you called. Being a Saturday we wouldn't of been able to get a plumber there anyway. Guests two weeks before had no problems with the boiler. Regarding the instructions for the villa, I have been renting out holiday property in Benidorm for 15 years.There's a few do's and don'ts.Over the years i have found out that guests idea of how they leave the property is somewhat very different! It just clarifies what is expected and basically left as found other than the final clean. We have worked very hard to have the property and to be able to offer such a lovely villa for guests to be able to enjoy. You mentioned paying a substantial amount of money for the villa. £735 for 3 nights equals £30.62 per person. Unfortunately these things do happen and are out of our control no matter how hard we try to fix it. We did our best!! Hopefully people reading this review can appreciate that nothing in life runs perfect all the time and sometimes there's just no pleasing some people whatever you do!!

Many Thanks for the review. With regards to the pool, Benidorm during your stay was having a heatwave with the temperatures reaching well in excess of 35 degrees and the nighttime not dropping much. This along with the oil from the suncream if it isn't showered off before entering the pool can cause problems. The pool man has been visiting the pool every 2 days to check the chemicals and to backwash the filters usually at 7am or earlier, we are never up early enough to see him! He does leave his number to contact immediately if there is a problem, which in this instance you did, Thank you for following the instructions glad it was sorted quickly. Many Thanks Sue

The small upstairs bedrom window was cracked, We were there the week before to get the villa ready for arrival but unable to get it fixed in time for your arrival as it takes a few days to be made. It has been ordered. We go again at the end of the month and will get it repaired. You mentioned in this review about the broken locks on the window. You never mentioned it during your stay or i would have had the maintenance team come to look at them. I cant do anything if i don't know! The fans i admit were my fault. I went to clean them and couldn't reach. Thecleaners have now done them! My husband was going to do it but forgot. The coffee machine we have 2. One with an english plug on it we brought over which was the one you emailed about which you said was broke. It wasn't as my husband was using it 3 days before your arrival. There was no english adapter on it. I emailed you straight back to say there was a white one as well in the cupboard with a spanish plug on it. The mattress are in no way 20 years old. We bought them brand new when we purchased the house in 2012. They are 1000 sprung pocket mattress. As this is a holiday home they aren't slept on very much. Sorry they weren't to your liking. The games room does get very warm in the summer but in no way in March is there any humidity down there. You have been reading previous comments and taken it upon yourself to find something to add to the complaint. I refunded your damage deposit money the same day as you left and you weren't happy that fees were deducted by paypal. £12. I deducted the money you sent. I feel a 2 star review is unjustified. Just to mention after being reminded that departure was 10am the cleaners had to wait 20minutes for you to vacate the property. We had guests arriving that afternoon. hold my hands up to the cleaning of the fans but don't accept the other comments.

I have contacted vrbo regarding this review and have an email saying they are completely on our side but due to human rights and freedom of speech they can't do anything about it. I have saved it and will happily send it to anyone to view. I had a disagreement with this guest before they even entered the property over the £300 damage deposit. On 10th July I said the damage deposit must be deposited in our account. 28th july I reminded her again. The deposit was paid at 12.30 the day before arrival on 3rd august but i needed cleared funds. It was an international payment which could take upto 5 days. I said she would need to pay cash on arrival and i would refund as soon as it arrived in our account which i did. She wasn't happy. She spent her whole holiday complaining about everything which i fully expected but not one comment about the cleaning! The review from guests that left the same day as she arrived was 5 star and a week later as the villa was empty for a week was 5 star. We don't have many reviews this year as we are using the villa more ourselves and only renting for a few weeks a year over the summer. I’m happy to receive poor reviews if it deserves it but this is a very unfair review from a disgruntled guest and really should be taken down.
