The Black Pearl receives its name from being located right on the Black River leading out to beautiful Lake Michigan along with the fun industrial and lake vibe. The Black Pearl is located within the Colonial Condominiums. The Colonial Condominiums were originally built in the early 1900's as a hotel. It offers the perfect blend of historic charm and modern convenience in beautiful South Haven. Located within walking distance to the pristine beaches of Lake Michigan, the Colonial Condominiums are centrally located for easy access to local restaurants, shopping and outdoor recreation.

The Black Pearl includes:

-Wireless Internet provided by the association
-Coin operated laundry in basement
-Nearby off-site parking for 3 vehicles
-Weekly rentals

The condo was remodeled and combines both unit 10 & 11. The entrance into the unit is through unit 10. The Black Pearl features:

Perfect location and great condo

We couldn’t have asked for a better location and place to stay the weekend. Walkable to all of downtown, comfortable and clean. Everything was perfect!

The condo is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect - close to restaurants, shopping, beach, kayaking, bike trail. We enjoyed the deck in the mornings to relax and watch the boats. A stunning place with all the accommodations. Thank you!

We have walked past the building this condo is housed in for years. It was great to learn about its history! The Black Pearl is well appointed and cozy. Terrific decor. Great location…an easy walk to both South Haven and the North Beach area.

Fabulous place to stay in South Haven!

This was an A+ VRBO experience in every way. A gift bag to welcome us was a very nice touch. Very clean, comfortable and looked just like the pictures that are posted. I would highly recommend it!

Cute rental, convenient location

This place is very nice to stay at, had everything we needed. The deck is very nice to sit and relax, watching the boats, and the drawbridge. It’s within walking distance to all the stores/restaurants and maybe a 10 min drive from the beach. Getting in was so easy and the host was very quick at answering when we had a question. Highly recommend staying here.

The location is excellent and though the property is a historic building the condo was tastefully updated and beautifully maintained. I'd stay here again and again. The owner/manager was a wonderful communicator and her attention to detail was greatly appreciated. The thoughtful gift and welcoming message was just a lovely touch.

The Wonderful Black Pearl

3 life-long girlfriends stayed 4 nights at the Black Pearl. The condo was in a fabulous location - easy walk to the restaurant and shopping district of South Haven, and a short drive to the beaches. The inside of the condo was very clean and nicely decorated and the owners easy to communicate with! Highly recommend - we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Black pearl is a gem!

New Years Weekend

My wife and I came with another couple over New Years. The Black Pearl was really nice. The location was perfect we walked everywhere. The size of the bedrooms and the living area was perfect for the four of us. The interior was well done and we had a wonderful time during our stay. We had good communication from the owner and highly recommend the Black Pearl.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

The Black Pearl was exactly as advertised. Excellent communication from the property owner. The property was comfortable, spacious and spotless and very welcoming. Lovely welcome note and goodie bag when we arrived. Location could not be better - just a 5-minute walk to downtown and easy access to the Harbor Walk, which we took out to see the lighthouse (about 15-minute walk). We were only in town for one night, and we truly wished we could stay longer.

Wonderful Autumn visit

Just got home from a wonderful three day stay in South Haven, at the Black Pearl. What a great apartment it is complete with high ceilings and professionally decorated throughout. Great location to downtown and shops/restaurants and a quick walk to the lake as well. Our host was attentive, and most accommodating. five star visit for sure! Joe from Ohio.

Excellent location - central to beach and downtown. Very nice deck overlooking river. Condo was renovated and setup nicely - just like the pictures. Was great for our group of friends since this is two units combined into one larger unit. Owner was very timely and responsive to questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Great family property with good location

My husband and I stayed with his brother's wife and almost 3 year old. The flat was perfect for two couples. The location was easy to walk to the shops, bars, and lake. Great communication with the property owner. Everything was clean and the beds were sturdy and comfortable. I would absolutely stay there again. My one note is that if a parking pass is needed, it should be provided. It wasn't an issue for our off-season visit.
