Cozy, serene, clean, Zen like, right on the river

This was our last stay in Sri Lanka & turned out to be a very relaxing end to our holiday. its right on the river & you can take a boat ride under the mangroves from the hotel's jetty - a memorable, scenic ride. the view of the river from the balcony of our room gave us a serene calm feeling. tables & chairs are provided outside each room on the balcony which can be serviced from a separate entrance. Mr Kumara customised our breakfast with fresh fruit juice & fruits at 7 am followed by a cooked breakfast later at 8:30 am. he aims to meet all the needs of his guests - when we asked him if he might have some lemons, he said "give me 10 mins". he actually took out his scooter to go fetch lemons for us in the middle of a hot afternoon. he could have simple said that he didn't have any lemons. the hotel was always spin & span. one of the staff members hand picked every single fallen leaf & flower from the garden every morning

Nice hotel, well maintained. Wonderful location as just on riverside. 1 km distance from bentota beach. Only few things are missing, just like... restaurant and swimming pool. For food they arrange from nearby restaurants. But owner is quite helpful, n quite bigger room size and bathrooms. If can adjust with above requirements...then its the best place to live in bentota, its quite chill and silent...so that you can enjoy yourself.

Good small hotel

We were greeted with a refreshing drink and towels after our long journey from Nuwera. The hotel is clean, simple and well situated on the bank of the river. The owner is extremely friendly and hospitable. Although there is only a fridge and kettle in the room,he arranged for us to have cups, glasses and refreshments without fuss. He is eager to please and will cook whatever you would like on request. All in all a good small hotel.

Outstanding hospitality in an enchanted location

If you are looking for home away from home, look no further - the kind and distinguished owner of Fuji Inn, Mr. Kumara, and his staff will attend to your every wish with great attention, including all kinds of travel information or scooter rentals/ excursions. The small hotel is being looked after meticulously, the location central but very peaceful, the breakfasts individually and lovingly made with great care and eye for detail. The rooms are well equipped with fridges, good water pressure and are spotlessly clean. We loved staying at the Fuji Inn and will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Comfortable stay by the river

Modern hotel with a lovely river view. Huge room. No toiletries provided. A little walk from restaurants and the beach. Kumara and his team are very nice people.

a very basic hotel for the price

This hotel is too expensive for the prices they are charging. The rooms are nice and large, but there is no A/C only a ceiling fan. The hotel generally is quite spacious, but lacking furniture and any activity options on premises. The hotel is actually further from the shore than it looks, so we'd recommend hailing a tuktuk for the 10minute ride. Breakfast was included with our booking and fairly basic, but appreciated. Dinner can be arranged on premises for guests, provided you arrange this with the staff beforehand. Though the hotel is nice in appearance it is a little lacking in substance and we'd recommend finding somewhere closer to the centre of Bentota.
