The hotel is a less than a 5 minute walk from the bus/train station. The receptionist was very helpful ( able to leave luggage for 2 days while we went on a train excursion). The upper corner room was spacious and clean. Water pressure was great. We were given breakfast treats in a bag to go, we checked out very early. A pleasant surprise.

Pleasant stay. Room comfortable. Breakfast options very good. Only let down was the gym, which was very poorly equipped and not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.

A bit chaotic stay
I stayed here with my son for 3 nights in separate rooms. Location: easy to access, but right next to the bus station with a busy traffic. The windows/ curtains are engulfing some of the noise, but if you need a good night sleep - you might ask for a quieter room in the hotel. Lobby and check-in was great, a bit slow as they have a new booking system and the database did not work well. Rooms: clean, comfortable beds but the furniture was wore down and the bathroom's door couldn't be closed, the ceilings / some panels were unstable and moving during the heating. My son could't sleep and had to fix the panels with his bag to stop the noise. Breakfast: really amazing, you could eat something with any special diet, very huge variety, fresh every day. The only thing that made us disappointed was a miscommunication about breakfast time: we were leaving the hotel on a Sunday morning and were hoping to get two sandwiches before we leave. I went to the reception on Saturday morning to request this and they said: breakfast tomorrow starts at 6:30 am. I was a bit uncertain and we asked it again in the evening and we got the same 6:30 breakfast. I was just hoping to have a quick bite before out trip BUT - the restaurant was closed - a kind woman was setting up the food at 6:45 but she said that they open at 7:30 ( this was on the elevators info as well) and she really couldn't give anything for us - saying that there is nothing ready. We left hungry and a bit sad after all.

The hotel room was clean and the breakfast spread was superb. The hotel is located opposite to the bus interchange and train station, but the traffic light for crossing the road is some distance away. Just some slight inconvenience if you have heavy luggage to handle.

Fabulous stay
Spacious room. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Breakfast chef was friendly and lovely to talk to. Great location. Close to train station and an easy walk to Christmas markets and harbour.

Bunk beds in family room were great - so nice to have a bed each in a hotel family room. Breakfast fantastic - we paid extra to make a packed lunch one day which worked really well. Staff on reception all really friendly and helpful. Really good location.

We wished we had made arrangements to stay longer! The breakfast buffet was the nicest one of our 2 week trip with something for everyone. We loved the floor to ceiling windows in our room and how quiet it was. The location was perfect- a 15 minute walk to centrum and 5 minutes from the train station. We appreciated the hotel storing our luggage when we didn’t leave until later that day. Would highly recommend!

Great hotel and reasonably priced
Very nice hotel. Comfortable bed and lovely room. The breakfast was great! Huge number of choices and all delicious. Parking is a bit difficult and all places are app driven.

Wouldn’t stay here again
We arrived at 1am and they decided to tell us at that point that they had overbooked the hotel and we would have to stay at another hotel. That ruined the next 2 days of our trip as we couldn’t unpack and we couldn’t relax. The hotel itself is ok, but definitely not a 4* hotel. I’d give it 3* at best. Its lobby and facilities probably increase its rank, but the gym is tiny and the terrace is not safe to walk on. I’ll be asking for some compensation from this stay as it was not what was advertised, and they couldn’t Eve fulfil our requirements despite prepaying, which makes me lose all trust in booking with a Scandic hotel again.

The location was excellent and the staff very friendly. The breakfast has a lot of varieties and Griselda was very very nice, helpful and cheerful. It was nice chatting with her. The location obviously is very good. Walking distance to almost everything. The room was good and had everything we needed. Overall our stay was a success and I will definitely rebook with this hotel if or when I come back, because Bergen is so so much fun to visit

We have enjoyed our stay at Scandic because it has great location for exploring the city. Our room was big and well equipped. The stuff at the front desk was very friendly. However, the room cleaning service was terrible. The room was not appropriately cleaned after the last guest. During all our stay, it was not vacuum cleaned without our request upon returning to the room in the evening. One day, the room was not cleaned at all.
