Anne-Marie and Francois were fantastic hosts who looked after us impeccably.
We look forward to returning in the future to enjoy this beautiful Property and location.
A beautiful property, with welcoming hosts. The house is very elegant and the guest suites are extremely comfortable. The outdoor pool, in the lush gardens, is a particular highlight. We will definitely return!
A really lovely building and pretty garden. Clean, homely, with relaxed hosts. It felt authentically french and has been a holiday highlight for us. Bergerac town centre is very attractive too.
The welcome and hospitality for the Clos team is truly genuine and thoughtful. Rooms are big and comfy and the pool is a bonus. Location is an easy walk to everything and parking is right outside the door at a reasonable rate (plus Clos has a few stalls as well - but book in advance). Great visit - Merci!
Clos D’Argenson is a wonderful, stylish B&B set in beautiful gardens with a swimming pool. Jean Luc and his team are marvellous hosts. They even went the extra mile for us, we had an early flight so they delivered a delightful breakfast tray the night before for us to have before we left. I would thoroughly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Bergerac.
Beautiful house full of art & deco features, lovingly curated by the proprietors. The bedrooms are full of character, the secluded garden with separate villa, swimming pool and hot tub all add to the relaxing vibe. The hosts are exceptional, providing fantastic breakfasts and always ready to help - we can’t thank them enough, it was a real privilege to stay here. The location is great too - an easy walk through the old town to the riverside with everything close by. We will return!
Clos D'Argenson is like staying in someone's beautiful French home, but where you're left to come and go as you please.
The property, centrally located (10 mins walk from the railway, and Bergerac's historic centre, twice-weekly market and river), is elegant and packed with original features, such as the sweeping central staircase up from the marble hallway to the large communal lounge and library, all dotted with art and antique fixtures.
The large bedroom suites are similarly elegant (try and get one at the back facing the garden and pool), with a separate seating area, supremely comfortable beds and a bathroom to die for (huge, with walk in shower and nuxe toiletries). And although our room faced the road and market square, it was quiet.
Owners Francois and Anne-Marie were welcoming and helpful, but not in anyway obtrusive. And the breakfast of homemade yogurts, jams and apricot cake, with seasonal fruit, croissants, cheese and cold cuts, served on the sunny terrace overlooking the garden, is a memory that will get us through the dark winter months!
Just one of those stays we know we'll look back on in years to come, and say 'Do you remember that great place in France...?'
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we had everything that we needed and the breakfast was such a lovely addition. The room and house were beautiful and the hosts attentive and helpful. We would throughly recommend staying here
An excellent stay with great hosts. Property is clean, kept in good condition and has everything you need- the pool and air on were very welcome in heatwave. The breakfast was great with fruit, croissants, bread, juice, cheese and meats plus a sweet treat. Highly recommended.
Superb B&B, couldn’t have picked a better place for our stay in Bergerac. The room was super cute and the owners are lovely, they also serve a really good breakfast with homemade jams and yogurts. Would definitely stay there again.
Le Clos exceeded our expectations. It's in a great location. Our room was extremely spacious with a separate sitting room overlooking the pool and garden. The breakfast was excellent and the hosts very obliging.
Beautiful property. Bedroom with large separate sitting area, which made it a very relaxing place to stay. Excellent service from Hosts. Breakfast was very good, with homemade jams, yoghurt and cake. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend.
Lovely peaceful setting and really nice hosts. The lovely pool and tastefully decorated rooms, perfect breakfast made our stay special.
We had a private guide to take us on a tour. He was lovely but unfortunately had really bad body odour which got worse throughout the day
This place is just gorgeous! An incredible B&B with great staff and a pool in the center of the beautiful city of Bergerac. The best place I have ever visited during my travels
