"This is a ski resort from the '60's that has been recently refurbished. It was perfect for our overnight stay to visit the Porcupine Mountains. Our room was in the main building on the first floor and was updated and clean, quiet in the offseason of September, and the mattress was very comfortable. With the included breakfast of homemade scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola bars, we found it to be a good value. We also highly recommend the Iron Nugget restaurant in Hurley for dinner - excellent food, service, and ambience - a hidden gem."

"This was a great spot. Possibly the best I’ve been to in the UP. Friendly staff and very well maintained. The owners obviously care about the hotel. Would definitely stay here again if I’m ever visiting the area. A little higher priced than other hotels in the area but well worth it."

"This place was perfect. Right on the beach, which is a very private access point. Wooded area shields the wind and sand blowing in off the lake. Fire pit out back under the trees couldn't be better. Stars are amazing. House is perfect. Not missing a thing!! For us it was much better than some of the rustic cabin resorts near by that I almost booked before i saw this place. Thanks for a very memorable stay!!"
