"Lovely house, lagoon area has breeze even at height of summer in August. Good base, Obidos, 20 mins away, is a medieval town with very impressive castle. Beautiful buildings with local artists selling paintings and prints, plenty of good restaurants. Lisbon is an hour away. A car is essential to get around, as the house is situated up a forested hill above lagoon. Excellent walks and runs around the lagoon, which is only 15 mins away by foot. "The property is clean and big. However, missing little comforts that one expects. The mattresses were extremely hard.They were not even regular hotel quality. The beds are only full size. Not enough space for two adults to share. I would say property sleeps four adults. The property advertises pool, but there is no extra towels. "Very spacious and charming accomodation in a real and lively small town. Accomodation was not gligzy, but comfortable and tranquil.. Spacious patio would have been great if we had got more sunshine. Plenty of unpretentious great-value cafes nearby, some with own delicious pastries and fresh bread. Local 4-day festival was a bonus. Only 15 mins walk to amazing surf and beaches in picturesque Baleal. One hour drive to Lisbon. Great spot!"
