Good hotel near BER
This is a clean. inexpensive hotel very near Berlin Brandenburg airport (BER). We didn't have time to really experience the hotel, because we merely slept there before our flight. However, the restaurant was helpful, and although the hotel shuttle couldn't take us at 4:15 AM, the desk was kind enough to call us a cab.

Even though I had made prior arrangements, I was disappointed that the hotel’s shuttle service did not pick me up from the airport. To make matters worse, the service was not available to return me to the airport upon checkout.

This was an overnight hotel before a flight so really just needed limited services. Check in staff not friendly. Restaurant attached so-so. Room was older looking but served our needs

First Visit a Great big Plus!
This Hotel was chosen as we were meeting family and I must say what a pleasing hotel this was. Although there were busy roads surrounding the hotel there was a lovely garden area where we sat and had our evening meal with a small lake and ducks, flamingos and chickens. It was a lovely atmosphere and locals were also eating there too. I would definitely stay here again as their airport shuttle was an added bonus as we were picked up and dropped off at no extra charge. Our room was very comfortable and the whole experience was very relaxing.

Ideal location, near airport with free transfers.
Hotel was 5 min walk from S-Bahn railway terminus where S9 route takes you directly into city centre. Hotel sells a day ticket for 7 euros 70 cents that only has to be validated before embarking on 35 minute train journey. Reception staff where very helpful, Italian restaurant at hotel very good. Ideal base for Berlin Marathon. Excellent!!

Lovely 2-night stay in this airport hotel
This is a lovely hotel. My room was clean and tastefully decorated. Nice food and drink items in the room's minibar. I wish my room had an A/C because it was warm. I opened the windows to let in the cool air, but then the noise from the nearby train kept me awake. Also, the room's wifi didn't stay connected. I was repeatedly prompted to reconnect to it on my phone and laptop. The breakfast next door was not included in the price of the room, but was worth the extra expense.

Nice hotel close to the city centre
A pretty new hotel located just outside the inner ring road, its less than 10 minutes to walk into the city centre. We stayed for 5 nights during the August heatwave and found a downside in the hotel didn't have Air con in the room. The hotel provided a pretty quiet and efficient fan when we asked, so it didn't turn out to be as much a problem as we feared it might. We had breakfast at the hotel on 2 mornings, €12.40 each, as it was a pretty extensive buffet we thought it was good value compared with the breakfasts we had in city centre cafe's on the other days. We'll definitely be using this hotel again when we visit our family there in the future.

Retrospectively, 4-star hotel must mean different standards in North America compared to Europe. Although the location was convenient for getting to the airport the next morning, the stay was overall disappointing compared to what we were expecting. Most of all, the Wi-Fi was terrible - difficult to connect to and would almost immediately drop. This posed a lot of frustration given that we were trying to check-in and sort out the final details of our departure that next day. The airport shuttle only goes every 30 minutes, not when requested, which isn't the biggest deal but did mean that we had to get up and arrive at the airport 15 minutes earlier than we wanted to, which felt like a lot in the early hours of the morning. It did have a fan tho, which helped the room stay a comfortable temperature. This was extra needed because there were lots of guests outside at the bar/restaurant smoking the smoke kept drifting in through our window which meant we had to keep it shut.

We can not run on request during night and morning time. 15 minutes should be no big deal. You also could have been there 15 minutes later. We are sorry for inconvenience regarding noise and smoke.

Small but nice hotel. Very clean with free airport shuttle to Schoenefeld airport of Berlin. But we had to go to Tegel Airport, and we did not benefit from that. The location is near a railway, so that is quite noisy for sleep, particularly we had to open the window for cooler air.

Handy for airport
The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the airport or the hotel will provide a free transfer if you book in advance. The room was well presented and the shower was very powerful. The only downside was lack of air conditioning and there were some freight trains passing through the night.

Sorry, will not stay there again.
Hotel is a 20 minute walk, not 5 minute, although a shuttle is available if you call. Hotel is on a noisy road and back of hotel has busy railway tracks. No air conditioning, and opening windows lets in bugs because there are no screens. Got awakened 7am when they started tearing down the walls and bathroom in the room next door. Breakfast is nothing special. Shuttle back to airport was good and on time. Would not stay there again.

The room was clean and nice. The only issue was it was very warm and I couldn't see a heater to turn down the temp so had to have the windows open all night. Because it's near the airport a busy road and a railway line it was noisy. I did sleep quite well considering this. There were no tea/coffee facilities. the drinks in restaurant a bit pricey. I tried getting in touch with the hotel before to ask for the free shuttle to airport in the morning and the phone number on booking form and the hotel website was wrong taking me to teletext holidays.they found the correct number for me.

Excellent hotel near airport
My wife and I had a great stay here on our brief trip to Berlin! The hotel is beautiful, unique, and had everything we needed. It’s a very short walk to the subway into Berlin or to Schönefeld airport (or you can take the provided airport shuttle). Most of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The internet was a little slow but manageable. The food at the attached restaurant was excellent. However, make sure you don’t miss the meal times at the restaurant because there isn’t really anything else around so you’ll likely have to wait until they start serving the next meal.

The hotel is certainly not 4 star. Close to airport is good. But the rooms were very average. no ventilation in room and no curtains on windows.. only a transparent blind which let in quite alot of light by night.

Comfortable and close to airport and train station
It's not fancy, it is a very accommodating hotel that meets all your needs. It's only 500 meters from the airport yet there is also a free shuttle available. The hotel is also 500 meters to the train station that take you directly to the center of Berlin. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's restaurant right next door was charming and had a great breakfast. You have to pay for breakfast but I think it was worth it. The rooms are clean and spacious, beds are comfortable. The only thing that I didn't like so much is how close the hotel is to the railroad tracks so once in a while you will hear a loud train go by and sometimes you can feel your bed shaking, but it's not that often, and if you're not bothered easily by noise it's not a problem. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you want an affordable hotel close to transportation and airport in Berlin

Good Hotel Close to Schoenefeld Airport
This hotel is within walking distance of the airport, and is easy to find. Check-in was quick and hassle-free. All staff were helpful. As this was my first time in Berlin in over 30 years, I appreciated that. For the price I paid, I got good value for the room. Overall, I think we can put the Albergo in the "win" column. In terms of things to do in the area, there isn't much, but a train station (Bahnhof) is close by, across from the airport, which can take you to a lot of great places in Berlin. The presence of the train station makes this hotel an attractive option when you're arriving at Schoenefeld Airport.

Excellent location if you have an early morning flight. If arriviing by train exit station to the left. Hotel is about 1.5 km on that main road. Nice attached restaurant. No shops etc nearby. Shuttle service to airport available. Staff were very helpful

Staff seemed annoyed at having to pick us up at airport. For an airport hotel there are the amenities one would hope for (e.g. free wifi, breakfast, etc.). With other airport hotel options we struck out at Albergo.

The Hotel was fine it was just that the rooms appeared to have no Air conditioning on a very hot day, so opened the windows and the train track which was very busy which was to close and therefore very noisy.

It was horific experience We been travelling for 20 years to about 30 different countries this hotel was the worst It was 38 degrees in berlin we checked in to find this 4star hotel had no airconditions in all the hotel not even in the foyer The room was like a sauna We booked for 2 nights the first night we hardly slept so they refused to refund us so we go to different hotel We left the hotel after arguiment If we asked to rate this hotel we fair to say 2 star

Excellent for airport use
The hotel was very easy to get to from the airport. 5 minutes walk. Very close to the train station with bus links also. On my arrival was warmly greeted, receptionist very helpful. My room was nice, clean (except a couple of long black hairs in my bed) & Spacious. I went over to the restaurant and had a lovely meal though the service was very poor (it seemed to because I was English) the hotel has plenty of parking. It also has a sun bed, sauna and limited gym facilities which has a charge to use but you have 24 hour access. There is wifi but it's not free. In the morning I had breakfast at €10 charge. It was again very good with great choice and value for money BUT AGAIN the service was so poor I was going to make a complaint, I couldn't believe how rude and disrespectful I was treated. Check out was fast and the receptionist was very friendly. There is a shuttle to the airport at a charge but if your traveling lit you won't need it. Overall it's a nice hotel in a great position for local transportation including the airport. The only downfall the poor service in the restaurant but the food was great

Stayed here before and was disappointed this time. Room was extremely hot and air conditioning not working (and this was in April). Requested change of room. Offered 4 further unsuitable rooms. Eventually given room in old part of hotel. Still quite warm, no air conditioning but it did have opening windows Beware substantial noise from road on one side and railway on the other. Facilities were adequate but nothing special. Approximately 15 minutes walk to airport which wasn't a problem to us. The hotel has a shuttle service. Chargeable like most other items - wifi, breakfast. Shortage of electricity points in room. Restaurant was no more than OK and we felt expensive. Would not recommend this hotel. Only moved here from central Berlin because of early flight and rail strike. Wish we had stayed and put up with very early start.

This is a great hotel to stay at when you need to be near the airport. It was a little bit noisy on the main road but otherwise the room is big and comfortable.

Nice hotel conveniently close to Schoenefeld.
The room was comfortable and worth the money. The staff were pleasant. The wifi fee was exorbitant. If you buy three hours wifi it is not possible to stop and start for a total of three hours - the process continues for three hours whether you switch off in a shorter time or not.

Excellent airport hotel
Very good value hotel for visiting Berlin and Potsdam. 30 min train journey to centre. Excellent train service. Allows you to make full use of Berlin Welcome Card. Hotel very welcoming. Shuttle service very useful. Free phone in airport. Only real negative is the noise of traffic and trains if you sleep with windows open.

Great for a layover...
What an delightfully odd little place! Not bad at all, just very unique and definitely not the big chain hotel feel. Check out the photos and all of the rooms, they're very accurate, the rooms are probably in need of updating, but the furniture that's there isn't dirty or grungy, just outdated and somewhat random. We checked in early (10am) and had no problem getting a room immediately, and were given an actual KEY to the room, (on a 3lb lead weight of a keychain) as well as "a card for the electricity." Odd. But sure enough, we get into our room and there's no power. Slide the little plastic card into the slot marked Electricity by the door, and all the power comes on. Seem like this is a great sustainability feature! I don't know if I'd advise this for a lengthy stay, but for a short stop in Berlin, it's across the street from the airport with a free shuttle (Terminal B, not D), and it's 600m from the train station for ease of venturing into Berlin.
