Great stay. Hotel seemed well-maintained. Staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet was lovely. Air conditioning easy to adjust. Wasn't charged for luggage storage pre-check in. I had a free upgrade to a junior suite which was nice and spacious.

Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood as well as grocery stores. Close to a good transportation network for getting around the city (train, metro and buses). We enjoyed our stay here.

Nice, if somewhat outdated room in a perfect location on Kudamm. For the good price a perfect place to stay for a few nights. Air condition work very well. I did not have breakfast there, so cannot speak to the food.

We booked two suites over Christmas and wow they are huge!! They were clean and felt luxurious. Bed was large and comfy, as we're the sofa beds. So large we had our own dance floor hehe Hotel is a 2 minute stroll to the nearest underground station. Restaurants all around and we had the best stay we could have asked for.

Very clean and cozy. Breakfast was about double the cost of where we chose to eat locally and no irons even 1 to borrow from desk :( That could be an easy improvement. Staff was nice and multilingual.

We stayed for three nights; We were checked in by Anita who was a pleasure to deal with. Talk about someone who understands “hospitality”. The room was clean; the beds were very comfortable and the AC was great. The negative: We had planned to eat breakfast at the hotel everyday (3 of us). The first day we arrived downstairs to eat at 10:05 (we had a tour at 12). A nice man asked our name/room number snd zi told him we were going to pay and that our room didnt come with breakfast. Suddenly a Indian lady came over and when she realized we weren’t on the list “go to check in” three times. There were two people ahead of us and we waited. As soon as I began talking to the lady at the desk, the Indian lady said something to her in German. The lady at the desk then said “I must mention that you have 20 minutes to eat”. I asked “did she just tell you in German to tell us that?” And the lady at the desk said yes. I took my family and left and are breakfast outside the hotel for the rest of our stay (great places nearby). When I returned, I went to the Indian lady told her she was unhelpful and rude. I asked for her name, and told her it was for the review, and she hid her name tag. I told her next time she should mind her own business and she told me to mind mine. I said “I was minding my own business by waiting in line when you mentioned the 20 minutes “. I went to the desk and had to ask 2-3 times for the name of the Indian lady told ”Priti”. Priti needs to learn customer service.

Pros: Great location. Cons: Bathroom not well maintained. The glass shower door leaked water. Sink smelled awful after running water for a few seconds. Bed very uncomfortable (probably subjective). Definitely not a 4 star hotel in my opinion.

Long weekend for Weihnachtsmarkt in Berlin.

When visiting Berlin on a regular basis we always stay in The Hollywood Media Hotel on the Kurfurstendamm. On this occasion there were no vacancies so after a quick search around the Best Western Plus Plaza was a very good replacement as it is almost next door and the location is simply fabulous. The room was comfortable and clean, if a little quirky with the sink and washing area outside the bath/shower room. The reception is on the 1st floor which is accessed via a two way escalator (up and down, cool). The lifts are also a design feature with an automatic folding closing gate. We stayed B&B and the breakfast was fantastic and served from 7am to 11am. Nothing wrong with this hotel and the location close to the Zoo/Blue Church/Europa Centre is ideal. The Kurfurstendamm is lined with High End Designer shops such as Rolex, Prada, D&G and DKNY.
