We had a really bad vacation and it wasn't all the properties fault, although the property didn't help. I am trying to be fair as possible. Packing up my house to move it to someone else's is not my idea of a vacation. Not sure why this didn't occur to me when I booked it, but I thought not a big deal to bring sheets. But when I was packing, I was willing to bet that their idea of linens included towels. I was right. We needed towels. What they don't tell you is that you also need to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap. You can't see the hot water heater (it's locked up), but even though you can sleep 10 in the amount of beds you have, you are only getting 4 showers with hot water until the next day. The instruction book didn't include heating or air instructions. This book was mostly your requirements before leaving, everything you cannot do with your pets, and what to do in the area. We incorrectly assumed there was no heat because all the baseboard heating
knobs were taped up. But we read the entire book and there was no reference to the heat or air. To be fair, we should have called, but by that time, we were done. It had rained all weekend, no heat, and not enough hot water. We were over it. We left a day early and the owners immediately responded when I sent the message, but we were done and going home. We did get a $50 credit for the swimming passes we didn't get, but the email didn't really tell you what the $50 was for. It was clean and had every appliance you could ever want, but hasn't been updated in a very long time. We will go back to staying on the beach for a bit more money (not that much more) and have our sheets, towels, toilet paper, and hot water included. May be for some, but not for us.
