Hotel is in a really good location, clean and good service however, there was a very strong smell of drain in the corridor and room.

OK hotel in a nice part of town, modestly priced
second time staying in this hotel. some of the public areas (parking, elevators, corridors) are somewhat shabby and less maintained as per what one would expect from a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is good and rich, rooms are not very big but have everything one would expect, except for ironing board and iron (brought in if requested). Reasonable WiFi.

Berlin Visit first time in Germany
We had an amazing trip to Berlin. The hotel was very adequate. The initial greeting at reception was warm and very professional. Receptionist was very helpful and gave us plenty of advice to make the most of our short stay. Our room was a good size and very clean. Bathroom was very clean and plenty of room. If anything the shower curtain was a bit tired. Also there was a slight leak from the pipe at the back of the toilet, which made the floor wet and a little dangerous. We pointed this out to Reception on our checkout. Not as a complaint but just to advise them. The hotel is situated in a quiet area about 15-20 minutes from the main area of shops. We did one of the open top bus routes to get a feel of the city. Evening time we went to a concert at The Max Schmelling-Halle which was the main reason for our visit. Overall we had a wonderful two night stay in Berlin

Good stay
Great to reach by public transportation from main train station. Clean rooms. One elevator was out of service for a few days, not so good if you are on the upper floors. There was a complementary bottle of sparkling water in the room which I thought might get replaced every day but didn't ( we stayed 4 nights). Also stingy with the shampoo being replaced. Breakfast took expensive for what you get. All in all good value for what we payed

Well located and rooms are Ok but could use some TLC. Staff are friendly but housekeeping is very inconsistent. Took away a water bottle that was not empty, did not remove used coffee cups, never replaced the single english breakfast tea bag that I used (I guess they give you one bag per stay no matter how long you stay (4 nights), failed to replace creamer and did not do a very good cleaning job. Other than that an OK hotel.

Very nice Hotel. Close to the U.
Hotel Leonardo was in a very safe and well maintained neighborhood. The U train was in the walking distance of the hotel making it very convenient. Staff was very friendly except one young tall blonde man that had a bit of a snobby attitude when first checking in. He had asked me for my US passport numbers which I do not like to give out esp. with the immigration crisis that Germany is in at the present time. I asked him why he needed the information for. The young man screamed from the top of his lungs "YOU ARE NOT A GERMAN CITIZEN"!!!!! I calmly looked at him and told him that I was only asking a question. He never answered my question. From that moment on I was staying in the hotel for 4 nights. He avoided me the whole time. He would see me waiting at the counter and would send someone else to help me. It seems he only gets along with the retired German visitors when he his serving drinks at the bar. All other Staff were exceptional. The restaurant Staff serving breakfast were exceptional. I am hoping that my passport information is shredded up by the hotel and does not get into the wrong hands.

The room no was what i reserved, of course one think is on the picture and another went u get there. the room was really small, a horrible shower dirty and small just a little square inside the bath... with a broken curtains .... staff very helpful at the from desk. the location is ok. is true that the Metro is at the Conner, but to get to downtown have to take like 3 trains to do connections. so i'm totally disagree about location. breakfast staff totally rud.... and they very slow to service a coffee or tea...i wait aprox 17 min on my table to get my coffee.... and went the lady place the coffee pot on my table was empty.......bad costumer service ! i will NOT recommended this hotel at all. no for tourist purposes.

Upon my arrival from the US on 8/29/16 (traveling over 10 hours), I was informed that I did not have reservations at the Wilmersdorfer location (due to booking agent's mistake), however had a current reservation at the Leonardo at Berlin Mitte. Even though it was the same hotel chain, the concierge did not transfer the reservation to the Wilmersdorfer location at had me pay an additional 700 Euros for me to stay there (have elderly mother live around the corner). On an another occasion I asked to use a iron and was told to use a facility downstairs near the reception. The concierge opened a back door (did not turn on any lights) and left. After pushing some button and finally turning on the light I noted that it was a bathroom for disabled people. Also I had to walk through a lobby full of guests with my clothes (ironed). This was an embarrassing experience!

Poor service and off hand staff on arrival at reception and for some reason the maintenance staff. Towels only supplied for one person and on asking for more to be available the following day they were not and when asking again it was too much trouble for reception to arrange as they were too busy....

Nice hotel central and close to public transport
Helpful staff. Small but clean room. That was ok because I was by myself. If travelling with my wife, a slightly larger room would be nicer. Low water pressure in shower. Free internet is not that great. Opt for purchasing upgrade. Will stay there again.

I liked my stay in the hotel generally. The room was clean and comfortable. It disturbed us not to have a refrigirator in our room in order to be able to save food we bought in the city during the day. My mother was upset that the satff didn't replace our towels. When I checked with the recption I realized we should have put them on the floor in order for the cleaning satff to understand they're supposed to replace them, but we wern't aware of that and it wasn't communicated clearly in advance. In addition, some of the satff memebers were with a high service orientation, and others were not. We recieved a city U ban map which was not the updated one and we got some confusion with our travless during that day, until we found out it was all right.

Good place for a stay in Berlin
Everything was very good. It was within easy reach of an underground station, being very handy to get into Berlin centre. There were lots of restaurants and cafes in the area.

Hotel gave away my room before my 4pm arrival
Hotel gave away my room before my 4pm arrival, tried to send me to another hotel all the way on the other side of town, made no effort to contact me before I drove all the way there to tell me they gave away my room, even though it was clear they had known way ahead of time, blamed hotels.com for not confirming with them

Size of the room was large enough. Frustrating to have two single beds instead of the double we requested. Air conditioner didn't work. Had to renew the wifi every day Which was annoying. Overall you get what you pay for.

Good hotel, but could improve service
This is a good hotel in short walking distance to a subwaystation (and also short distances to 2 other subway stations with different lines). The rooms are good and the the wifi worked fine after the daily login-process. Upon arrival we were asked to give a voucher or copy of reservation to be able to check-in. Luckily I could foreward the confirmation from Hotels.com to the hotel before I could register. I also so other guest struggeling with this policy. Upon arrival to the room it was freezing. We turn the AC on highest temperature (26 C) and took a nap. It was still freezing when we woke up. We went out and came back to a freezing room at night. We call the reception and told us that we had to turn on the radiator that was hidden behind thick curtains. The hotel should have heated rooms to a normal temperature before giving them to guests. After we arrived we also try to get WiFi, but had to give up. After talking to the reception they told us that we had to go down to reception to get a personal daily WiFi code. This should have been to us at check-in. When we needed new code the next day we got enough codes for the rest of our stay. We should have received that right away! We received a chocolate bunny on our pillow during easter which was a nice treat.

Nice and economic hotel, will definately be back.
Friendly staff that is very helpfull. One of the rare hotels where you still can open windows what is great to get some fresh air in your room without turning on AC. Good and save neighbourhood. The hotel is dog friendly and you can also book a smoking room on a special smoking floor what is well isolated from all other areas. I definately will come back when in Berlin.

Well located hotel in Berlin city
Good hotel, typical German business like hotel, clean and comfortable with helpful staff. Very well located close to U-bahn station and a few restaurants. No restaurant and only basic facilities in hotel, average breakfast. Overall a good mid-range hotel and would stay there again.

The hotel in Berlin to return to.
My friend and I have used this hotel before when it was 'Great Western Queens'. We always select this area as it is convenient to the centre (3 U-bahn stops), quiet, with a good choice of cafes and restaurants. The hotel is of a very good standard providing value for money and the staff are extremely helpful. I will be staying there again in one months time at Christmas - unlike UK, public transport operates and restaurants/bars are open on 25th December!
