Great location, poor facilities.
Check-in and the reception service were fine. The breakfast in the morning was great. The room, however, reeked of smoke and was really dated. I’m not sure how they justify €200 per night. The location is lovely and great for a restful break. We stopped off for a day off on a trip around Germany as we knew it would be hot. We wanted to use the leisure facilities, which cost an extra €11 each per day. Not sure why they’re charging guests this. The leisure facilities are really poorly run. The food and drink there is awfully overpriced and limited. Eg. The only soft drink they had available was Coke. No other options. We ordered at the bar and it arrived about 20 minutes later at our loungers by the pool. Then the sauna etc. One positive here, the steam room was great. However, they don’t turn the sauna on until someone wants to use it. We were told it takes 20 mins to heat up so we came back 20 mins later and sat chatting to a guy in the COLD sauna for about 15 mins. It was still completely cold as the sauna is huge. No way it could heat up in 20 mins. Overall, this place has huge potential and is situated by a lovely lake. However, it seems to be poorly managed and represents poor value for money for its guests.

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time and evaluating your stay. It is a pity that we could not convince you of our house. We are constantly renovating our house and have already modernized almost all of the rooms. Since we are a non-smoking house, we cannot understand why your room smelled of smoke. Not all of our guests want to use the wellness area, as we are a conference and wellness hotel. This means that our guests can book this service on request or book a wellness stay via our website. We would also like to offer our guests longer opening hours and more service in the spa and wellness area. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment due to the lack of staff. We are urgently looking for new employees to improve the situation. In our restaurant we attach great importance to fresh and regional cuisine and therefore offer a small but fine selection of dishes. We work with great commitment to ensure that our guests can enjoy a relaxing stay. We very much regret that we were not able to convince you of our house and the service. This is a phenomenal place to stay. Swim in the lake after having a sauna on a boat in a very quiet area that is lush with fine flora and lovely people. The building is very well maintained and breakfast is particularly excellent. Very helpful and professional staff and very comfortable. Highly recommended !!

Amazing lake front hotel!
My wife and I visited this hotel and stayed over at the pool and spa all day. The hotel is fantastic and the city is also an amazing place to visit. We loved it!

Stay away from this hotel.
This is a nice place if you have a car or if you don't want to leave the hotel. The breakfast is ok but the restaurant doesn't offer much of a selection for dinner. Staff tried to charge me for a second room which I did not book then threatened to call the police when I refused to pay for the room that I didn't use. There are many other hotels in the city centre.

Excellent hotel
We stayed for three nights. Good room with balcony overlooking the river/lake. Plenty of free parking with garage available at additional cost. Hotel is clearly popular for conferences and business meetings. Location is at the end of the Insel and very peaceful. Hotel restaurant is good with choice of regional and some 'cheffy' creations. Although a little way out from Potsdam centre, there is a nearby bus service and water taxi which is a little infrequent. Berlin is an easy day trip by train and the Palaces are accessible by tours and buses from the town centre. Recommended as an alternative to staying in central Berlin and travelling by car.

We were on a return trip to Potsdam last time was in 1967-68 what a change the old darkness and depression was gone and we found ourselves surrounded by beautiful Lakes trees and friendly people .

Virkelig fint hotel. Ligger lidt udenfor Potsdam men i ok afstand til centrum til fods og med cykelfærgen. Også fint at opleve området på cykel, som kan lejes ved hotellet. Venlig og hjælpsom personale , både i receptionen og i restaurant samt morgenmadsområde. Spa og massager var også i top. Det eneste der undrede os var at der ikke var “ equipment” i badeværelse. Vi rejser meget og der er altid vatpind, lotion mm på værelse, dog ikke her. Det er dog småting i forhold til oplevelsen.

Ruhige Lage direkt am See .sehr gutes Frühstück. Aussenpool mit Saunabereich innen als auch auf schwimmende Insel im See mit Zugang zum See. Großer Fitnessraum. Leider nur Kardiogeräte.Keine Kraftgeräte oder Hanteln Leihfahrräder. Freundlicher Service.

Traumhaft schöne Lage mit leicht bitteren Beigeschmack. Warum muss man in solch einem tollen Hotel den Parkplatz, Spa und andere Dinge Extra zahlen. Gleichwertige Hotels verpacken das anders und günstiger ....HP Angebote wären toll .... Trotz allem mit einem schmunzeln 😏 👍Weiterempfehlung

Cosy hotel for a relaxed stay
We had a nice three night trip to Potsdam as a couple. This hotel is located on a quiet Hermannswerder island which is easily reachable by bus from main railway station or the city centre. Our standard two-bed room was clean. The room looked over the parking lot in front of the hotel, which was surprisingly noisy from early on in the morning – in the first night, around 5 to 6 in the morning there was a clattering truck (probably bringing food to the hotel restaurant’s kitchen), so one of us could not sleep properly after. It was summer time so we needed to keep the window open since there was no air conditioning in the room, which of course added to the noisyness, but even with the windows closed it wasn’t very quiet. Also, in the morning people start to pack their cars before checking out so the rattle of the luggage starts. All these are of course normal chores at a hotel, but next time I would choose a room from the lake side of the hotel. Windows had a mosquite net btw, which was great! The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast had quite nice selection (missed more fresh vegetables). We spent some hours by the outdoor pool, which was clean and quiet. We would’ve wanted to try the Sauna by the lake and take a dip in the lake, but the day we we’re going to, there was blue-green algae in the water (at least to us it looked like this harmful bacteria), so we did not want to risk it. All in all we had a very nice and relaxed stay, and will come back some time!

The lake-facing side is more quiet for sure, and we would recommend booking a room on that side for future stays. Unfortunitely we do not offer rooms with airconditioning at this time. But fans are available upon request. We routinely offer a selection of vegetables for breakfast. We sorry the selection was not as varied as expected. Service staff is happy to get additional items for our guests that may not be on the buffet table temporarily. The quality of the water is monitored by https://badestellen.brandenburg.de/. Regular and appropriate alerts are issued to the public if the water quality is deemed unsafe. At the moment there is no warning in place. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr lecker und reich trotz Corona. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und idyllisch.

Mein Zimmer hatte leere Wände. Potsdam liegt nah an der Kunstzentrum der Welt: Berlin. Wie kann ein 4 Sterne Hotel so lieblos Ihre Zimmer gestalten. Die Terrasse draußen war auch nutzlos das es zu viele Körner vom Baum fiel. Das war wirklich aus einem schlechten Komödie. Und leider war das Essen sehr banal. Currywurst mit Champagner? Ist das einen Witz ?

Auf unserer Speisekarte finden Sie ein umfangreiches Speisenangebot mit Produkten aus regionaler Produktion. Die Lage ist wunderschön, die Mitarbeiter sehr nett und gut organisiert. Aber die Küche war furchtbar. Ganz schlechte Auswahl an essen (Currywurst und Champagner...?) und das Zimmer sehr lieblos gestaltet. Leere Wände ohne Kunst, und dass neben Berlin, Kulturstadt Par excellence. Ich habe mir viel mehr von diesem Hotel gewünscht.
