Comfortable, clean , modern, friendly, ideal base

Friendly staff, comfortable, modern, clean, welcoming hotel. Hotel is a great base for touring as it’s really close to both U Bahn and S Bahn stations. Not much of interest locally, just some basic food outlets and a run down shopping centre.

Good hotel, right above a shopping centre and close to the U and S Bahn. Easy to get to the centre of town and airport. Only thing is that the entrance can be a little confusing as its right by the entrance of the shopping centre.

Great hotel that I've stayed at twice now. When I came for my second stay I opted for the more basic room as I was travelling solo - would not recommend downsizing. The room felt exceptionally small, even for a single traveller. That being said, our previous room was great. Good breakfast, friendly staff, and a nice bar. Always like the convenience of the location.

Niu Hide Frankfurter Allee

Good hotel, interesting decor, brilliant staff, average breakfast that is overpriced for what is available. Finding the entrance is a real challenge for 1st time visitors as the hotel is above one part of the Ring Center (a handy shopping centre), but very poorly signposted.

Great transport network - U bahn, S bahn - into the centre. Good connections to the airport. Really good location for the major sites. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and had what you needed, but on the small size. Breakfast was plentiful and self-service; convenient. Dining in the evening was not great; late arrival and all that was available was frozen pizza, which was limited in choice. Entry / Exit to property was difficult. Door hidden away and not well signposted. No reception at the entrance, reliant on staff answering a door bell. Overall good location for transportation, but neighbourhood not the best, friendly and helpful staff and clean and tidy rooms.

They just got bought out by IGH group, so maybe things will improve… but the floors in my room were peeling off around the bathroom, they don’t leave enough towels, there is no desk, the rooms are tiny, the pillow and duvet is covered in a disposable cover (?!?) and the area has a homeless camp next to it under the bridge. I left early and went to another hotel. They wouldn’t refund my unused days, saying it’s an Expedia policy.

Good beds, but mediocre service

The hotel was OK; the rooms are rather small/narrow, and the entrance is not pleasant at all: it feels like you have to go through this rather dingy alley. Also, during the initial check-in the person checking me in was unprofessional (chatting in German w/ their colleague, and not understanding towards the concerns I addressed). Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad hotel, but my experience was far off the (current) 9.0 rating.

The staff was indifferent to all guests, even for Berlin standards. The front desk was not completely attended to 24 hours. We had to wait sometimes five minutes to get in or 15 to pay for a water. I saw a guest trip on a wet floor and hit her head and the hotel staff didn’t even get up to help her or check in. In addition, there was painting going on outside our room. They started very early and the entire room smelled like formaldehyde. I understand that maintenance needs to be done but could there have been a discount, or could they block off those rooms.

Das Hotel liegt in guter Lage. Super Parkmöglichkeit im Parkhaus. Mitarbeiter am Empfang waren alle sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksangebot war sehr umfangreich und super lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Lage ist super. Anreise mit dem Auto überhaupt nicht problematisch. Auto kann für 6€ pro Tag in der Garage stehen. Die Bahn geht direkt vor der Tür weg. Kann nicht besser sein. Besonders lobenswert war das Frühstück. Perfektes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Die Mitarbeiter alle sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.
