My stay here was not bad the area is great, close to transport and lots of food But the hotel itself seemed old and didn’t have air conditioning and was pretty basic as far as amenities. Also there was no lock on the door

As an American, I never thought to ask about air conditioning when I made the reservation, and as a result, there was none at this hotel. This was unfortunate for us as there was a record heat wave. Hotel did what they could to give us fans and the people were sweet. Beds were VERY uncomfortable (apart from the heat).

A lovely Christmas stay
A lovely hotel with friendly staff in a vibrant area of Berlin. The rooms were very clean and nicely warm (despite it being -6 degrees Celsius outside at the time) and breakfast offered a nice choice and quality products.

Extra large room which is amazing if you can get over the red color. The bed is very comfortable and sheets and towels are clean. Downside is, no kettle/coffee machine in rooms or fridge. But when I asked the reception they gave me a kettle (had to go out to buy tea/coffee). Matthias is a very lovely gentleman at reception and his female colleague helped me out by researching information for Covid tests. The hotel is conveniently close to major metro and tram lines, in a lively, yet quiet and safe neighborhood.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Comfortable bed, nice shower & very clean. The hotel is right in the heart of some fantastic restaurants & bars. The only hotel I will stay in when I’m in Berlin

Best Shower I've Ever Seen in a Hotel
The shower was ridiculously good - I have no idea what kind of shower-head they are using but it is top notch. Would stay again for that reason alone!

Great Stay in Friedrichshain
I visited the property for a 3 night stay Aug 31-Sep 2, 2018. This was my second stay at the hotel. The staff is polite and professional, its in an excellent location with many stores, restaurants and transportation connections, the room and bath are clean and tidy, good linen and towels, nice toiletries, comfortable mattress, spacious room, wifi worked ok, there are mini bar items in the room at a fair price, the windows have very good soundproofing and there is a good selection of cable TV/radio stations. I initially had an issue with the room I was given (twin--2 single beds) and the one I booked (superior single with a queen bed). The hotel was completely booked my first night l but the hotel allowed me to switch rooms on my second night for the rest of my visit which was much appreciated. Only negatives would be the property is not air conditioned but each room has a fan and during this time of year, the nights cool off nicely. There is no frig or coffee/tea pot in the room although there is ample space to include on. Surfing on the internet using the wifi was fine but there were a few issues with streaming videos. The bathroom shower is a bit tight but adequate. Breakfast is not included in the room rate but is available for about 12 euros. I didn't eat at the hotel but the breakfast area seemed nice enough. All and all, I just love this area of Berlin and this small hotel is a great option for a comfortable place to stay when I visit the area.

Booked this hotel because it is directly opposite friend's apartment (the most convenient choice). Overall room condition was as advertised on website. Room is spacious. Location near tram station and U-bahn station. A lot of pubs, restaurants, convenient stores and a supermarket nearby.

Great location but super noisy
The hotel is in a great spot to get around, but if you want somewhere quiet then it is not the place to be. The breakfast selection was good and the room was clean. I did find it interesting however that I was provided with a single size quilt cover for a queen size bed?? Being a single adult traveller does not make you expect less on the bed to sleep with! No top sheet either. For a hotel that supposedly has high standards this is way below even a normal standard for a single queen size room. Not particularly impressed.

Unfortunately at the moment there is some foreign construction work going on (not daily and not during evening/night time) which may have caused the noise. We are sorry for the inconveniences. As in regard to your bed cover, this is correct. Rooms booked for single occupancy do have only one bed cover. Of course if more people are occupying the room, we will provide the necessary bed covers/pillows. This has nothing to do with the hotel standard which we do comply with. Great hotel at a good price
We had a really comfortable, friendly stay. the staff were all smiling and keen to help, the room was large, with a Queen sized bed and sofa in the room, and a small but adequate shower ensuite. Breakfast was good value at 12.50 Euro for a buffet with eggs, backon, sausage, beads, croissants, hams, cheese, tea, juice, coffee, all the usual stuff.

Excellent staff
The hotel manger was great and helpful. The staff was very friendy. I truely recommend this hotel which is near transportations stations and close by to so many fun places and resturants. This is my third stay here and would book in it again. Thank you all for making my stay lovely.

I choose this room as Expedia claimed it contained a KING SIZE bed. It was only a double! My 12 month old son sleeps with me and we had to share with my mother so this was totally unsuitable. There were no larger beds in the hotel! I have complained to Expedia but they have not gotten back to me. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

However please note, that bedding configuration is always a request. We have rooms with 1 Queen Size Bed and rooms with 2 Twin Beds pushed together which equal a King Size Bed (German standard 180x200 cm). Nice hotel in great and convenient location
We stayed in one of our the apartments and it was pretty spacious and comfortable for 3! The only Downside was there's no air conditioning in the room and we had a couple of hot days during our stay.

Great location but hotel let down When HOT
Good hotel but as weather was hot I needed to keep the windows open but then got noises from Courtyard. For the cost of the room I would have expected air-conditioning !!! Great location with many bars and restaurants nearby. The East Side is a great place to stay.

Helpful apartment style room with shower room , recent fittings, great staff, very clean place. Building work nearby but lots in Berlin at present. Breakfast is extra and not great value but lots of local breakfast stops
