The Outlook - Quiet and Tranquil with Lovely Views

Set over the beautiful bird watching wetlands on the sand dunes of Moorheads Beach, "The Outlook" is a perfect little getaway in Bermagui.

The unit is on the north side of Bermagui's spectacular harbour, within 150m walking to great local shops and cafes for your morning coffee and breakfast.
The unit is a two storey duplex in a quiet and tranquil spot at the rear of the block, with a path out over the sand dunes that takes you right to the beach without even having to put your shoes on!!

The unit has been recently renovated with brand new kitchen and bathrooms. The Outlook can sleep up to 7 but is also perfect to be a cosy romantic getaway for a couple, looking for a lovely weekend or holiday away. There is 3 bedrooms including a master with large en-suite, and a mezzanine level that sleeps 3 in singles, and another bedroom downstairs that can be a queen or pushed apart to make two further single beds if needed.


The open plan kitchen/living/dining are light and airy as floor to ceiling windows lets you drink in the views over the deck of the bird watching wetlands, Mt Dromedary and the ocean over the dunes. The kitchen is fully equipped, great for those wanting to stay home and eat in after a long day of exploring, surfing or fishing. Lovely linens and towels are also provided to make your stay easy and comfortable.

The property has a lock up garage and an extra car space, as well as a laundry and outdoor washing line. The property has a fire pit on a beautiful redgum timber outdoor entertaining area that is perfect for the evening (fire restrictions permitting). Pets are allowed but please note that the property is not fenced so will need to be on a lead when not in the unit. The upstairs area is not suitable for children under the age of 3.

Bermagui has so much to offer from great cafes and bakeries, glorious ocean beaches, snorkelling, surfing, great walking trails like the horsehead rock trail, and of course the world class fishing! The harbour has wonderful wine bars & restaurants overlooking the boats and is a perfect place to unwind from the day.

Great location 100m from the beach

Had a lovely week here in Jan 2025 with the family. House was a perfect location for the beach and the town of Bermagui. House had everything we needed - make sure to take a hairdryer though. Beds were comfortable and showers were good too.

Wonderful Time

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the views from the back deck are incredible. There was a slight hiccup at check in but it was resolved quickly and our host was very helpful and gracious. The property is very private, the kitchen is well equipped and the beach is only a five minute walk away. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Lovely stay close to the beach

The property is across the bridge from the main town and close to the beach. There is a lovely cafe near by and we really enjoyed our stay. WiFi would have been helpful and the place doesn’t seem to be used much. We would definitely stay here again. Having towels and linen provided made the stay even more relaxing.

Great beachside retreat

Stayed in Bermagui for a wedding weekend. This townhouse was an easy walk into town but away from the noise and traffic. 100m walk through the coastal scrub and dunes to the beach and best coffee right on the corner. Plenty of room for 5 adults, lovely and relaxing inside and out.

Another perfect Stay at this property

Super conveniently placed house of us who enjoy easy access to the sea. Our family spent a week here, house is well equiped with all facilities and cooking equipment. Beds are super comfy and small details such as beach towels available are such a delightful welcome. Owners were quick to respond when we had trouble accessing the house at check in, and super helpful. We will surely book again.

The perfect getaway!

The property was comfortable practical, clean and well organised. In a great location, so close to the beach and close to town. A great size house for a family, and the kids loved playing around the wetlands out front. Visiting in winter the heating was great and the unit contained everything we needed. We will be booking again!

Absolute gem!

We had an absolutely wonderful week at this property! It is close to all amenities with gorgeous views from the back deck onto the flora and fauna sanctuary and the beach a short stroll from the back door. So peaceful and relaxing and just whatever needed. The kitchen and bathrooms have been beautifully renovated and the beds were very comfortable. Our hosts were also very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxed contemporary home overlooking estuary and sea at Bermagui

We had a great stay. Holly was particularly helpful at every stage. The home is well equipped, very comfortable and overlooking the coastal vegetation from the back door to the nearby beach. No internet provided but good TV reception and DVD player. Two spacious queen size double beds with nearby bathrooms. Bermagui itself is a great place to stay and explore the Sapphire Coast and hinterland.

An enjoyable stay. Cosy, comfortable and warm accommodation ( winter time ) in a great location with good views across the wetlands and a short stroll to the beach. Bermagui is a nice and friendly town. I only wish I was brave enough to jump into the Blue Pool but that will have to wait till our next visit in the summer time.

Great break in perfect location

A wonderful quick break away (2 adults, 2 kids and one dog) Lovely sunny spot - an easy stroll to the beach through a grassy path. Sunrise was magical. Easy walk into town (12-15 mins). Unit was clean, and had everything we needed (we enjoyed the no wifi and came prepared with lots of games & books, plus our own DVD to use in the property player) Communication & check in super easy. V happy to recommend.

Perfect getaway spot!

Thank you for a lovely 3-night stay in Bermagui! I travelled with my husband and our two dogs, and we all enjoyed the quick walk out the back to the beach. The location was great, close to everywhere we needed to go. We had an awesome time exploring different beaches in the area. The coffee shop being only a few doors down was very much appreciated each morning. The house had everything we needed other than a fully fenced yard (we just took the pups out frequently to visit the grass out the back door).
