Welcome to the Wastelbauerhof! Our fully operational farm is located in a very quiet, idyllic setting surrounded by unspoiled nature, about three kilometres from Lake Chiemsee. Lake Chiemsee is easily accessible via a beautiful walking and biking trail. Right from the farm, you can set out on challenging or family-friendly hiking and mountain biking tours, depending on your mood. Children will feel right at home at the Wastelbauerhof. A large playground with a climbing tower, slide, swing, seesaw, large trampoline, sandpit, and carousel invites them to run around and have fun. There’s even a whole fleet of pedal tractors and various go-karts available for the kids, just waiting for a race. Many different animals—such as cows, ponies, cats, rabbits, ducks, and more—are there to be loved and petted. We’re also happy to take the children along for tractor rides, milking, or feeding the animals, and with a little luck, there’s even a chance to experience a calf being born up close.
The 55-square-meter Gederer apartment has two separate bedrooms. One bedroom features a double bed and a TV; the second bedroom has a bunk bed and a single bed. The living area includes a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a cosy corner bench, and a flat-screen TV. The apartment features a spacious bathroom with a shower and toilet. From the living area, you can enjoy the tranquility and mountain views on your own south-facing terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available.
The central location of our farm is considered an insider’s tip by our guests for accessing the region’s major ski and tobogganing areas. In just a few minutes by car, you can reach major ski destinations such as Ski amadé, Kitzbühel, Kössen, St. Johann, Hohe Salve, and Reit im Winkl, to name just a few.The well-cleared winter hiking trails and the “Spiegeleis” on Lake Chiemsee are sure to delight walkers, ice skaters, and curling enthusiasts alike. A special feature of the Wastelbauerhof is its own café with a lake view. Take a break and enjoy our homemade cakes and pastries, baked by master pastry chef Viktoria. Using regional products is very important to us. We especially recommend our plum Datschi made with plums from our own orchard or our ice cream sundae variations featuring Rinser natural ice cream from the Chiemgau region.
