"Clean and comfortable. You get what you pay for. I’m sure the owner could afford mini-splits, but that’s my only complaint. (No ac) it was 85-89 when I was there, glad I brought a fan."

"Great stay…room was super clean (cottage #2). The in-room hot tub was also clean and was the main amenity. Double shower. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker all other pluses. Bed was comfy (firm in a good way!). Convenience of Circle K a VERY short walk away. Situated right off the main road and the cottages themselves have an out-dated feel and could use a little TLC in general, but couldn’t beat the value of price coupled with the coziness and convenience of location. Don’t expect a beautiful view from your room, it’s not that type of location. Easy check-in via text messaging. Would stay again!"

"Stayed in the Bessi Room-apparently there are some issues with maybe pollen coming through the filter of the AC? The first night we had terrible allergies, unfortunately- couldn’t breathe and eyes were swollen- Other than that, it was a beautiful clean room- the grounds are kept up nicely- if you’re going to enjoy the fire pit at night, keep your voice down or the next-door neighbor’s dog will start howling and barking- lol The other guests were great to hang out with for breakfast, and the breakfast itself was good- We stayed on Fourth of July weekend- kind of wish we did our research a little better and knew about the place nearby closing at 6 PM (Wyatts) because we walked all the way over there, thinking it would be open and it was closed- perhaps on a holiday weekend, letting the guest know what’s nearby for options would be good- As far as taking care of the allergies in the Bessie room, I was provided a fan the second night which really helped (thank you Alicia) All in all the owners were very communicative and seemed very nice. I believe she was there on Sunday morning serving breakfast. I would recommend this place and come back as long as we have the fan lol"

"This was our 2nd time staying here. We love this place. The cabin is super nice and very clean. Great kitchen, very comfortable bed and fenced yard for our boxer. The location is perfect and the neighborhood is great for walking. We have stayed at many VRBO's over the years and this one is our favorite. Russell, the host, is absolutely the best. He is quick with responding to you. We will definitely stay here again."

"The cabin was perfect, clean and very quiet. Jeff's response to questions was fast and helpful. The cabin came with more stuff than listed . We will be coming back to Jeff's cabin get away"

"This little cabin is in a great location! It's walking distance to some businesses and has nearby access to the free transportation offered in Big Bear. There were some elements missing that would have elevated the stay which were communicated to the host. The host was very open to those ideas. Big Bear is a lovely, little, charming town and great place to escape for the weekend."
