We had a lovely stay at this home with our family of nine, including three kids. The house was very comfortable and had plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was especially well appointed for those who enjoy cooking, and the additional living spaces gave everyone room to spread out. The theater was also a great feature and provided wonderful family entertainment.There were not many instructions for operating the various features of the house, but we were able to figure most things out. The hostess was responsive to some of our questions, although we did not receive answers to all of them.One disappointment was the dock situation. We were hoping to take the kids fishing, but the dock accessible from the house ended at a swampy area rather than reaching the water. There was a second dock that did appear to go to the water, but we could not find a way to access it. This was particularly disappointing since fishing had been one of the activities we were looking forward to.Also, if you are staying during hot summer weather, be aware that the house can get quite warm. There is no air conditioning, and although some rooms have ceiling fans, it was difficult to keep the bedrooms cool enough for comfortable sleeping.Overall, this is a beautiful and spacious home that worked very well for our large family. With better instructions, access to the water, and air conditioning for hot summer stays, it would be an even better experience.
