"We have stayed at “The Kind Cabin” 5 times and cannot recommend it highly enough! The beautiful setting on the lake, the absolute quiet yet close proximity to all you need (grocery store, hardware store, golf course, even a hospital) makes this the perfect vacation get away. Every time we go, there are so many updates like new appliances, expanded reading and games library, new flooring, pellet grill, and even a dock to swim out to! Sandra is a terrific host and is a wonderful communicator. A true gem in the North Woods!!"

"The cabin is just as appears in ad. It is very nice and well decorated. The only negative was something the owner can't control-algae bloom. It was so heavy this August that the lake was mostly green and the beach was three inches deep with slime. For renters with dogs, be aware that this can be a toxic swim for dogs."

"Bald Beaver Lodge was an excellent rental choice for us. The hosts were wonderful, answering all of our questions promptly. They even welcomed us when we arrived. The lodge was very clean. It was beautifully rustic in character, yet it had all of the amenities of a modern home. The home was large, with lots of beds and bedrooms. The outdoor area was spacious as well. We made good use of the game room, movie room, gazebo and hot tub. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone who wants to get away from it all."

"I was in the Big Falls area looking for boreal-forest birds, and, with that in mind, this property is in an excellent location: less than a mile to County Rd. 13, nine miles to the Toumey-Williams Forest Rd., and 15 miles to Pine Island Forest Rd.Other pluses for this property include the following.(1) The property owner is very responsive - answers your texts quickly and is quite helpful.(2) Because the property has a full kitchen, you can prepare your own food; or you can bring premade food and cook it on the stovetop or heat it up in the oven or microwave. This is important, given that the dining options in Big Falls (pop. 200) are limited.(3) The bed, and so sleeping, is comfortable.(4) It's quiet - another factor favoring good sleep.(5) The property is clean.(6) The air conditioner does a fine job of keeping the property cool.(7) The toilet flushes powerfully."

"Great property. Only a couple minor issues. The front door was hard to close and lock. Also more fans would be helpful for better airflow in the heat. Other than that it was a great stay. Look forward to possible future stays."

"The place is beautifully decorated and charming. If you look at the location on Google Maps, it looks a little questionable, but don't let that fool you! Easy, easy check in--it was just an email message with a code to check in. Nice location if going to Voyageurs NP."
