Creekside Duck Cabin - Creek Front - Mountain View

"We had a wonderful stay at the Duck cabin in Hiawassee! The home was comfortable, the setting was beautiful, and we truly enjoyed our time there. We would definitely consider staying again.There are just a few maintenance items that could use some attention to make the experience even better for future guests. The living room ceiling fan was not working, and the overhead light in the first-floor bedroom was missing the pull string needed to turn it on. The ceiling fans on the back porch also were not working. The first-floor bathroom door drags and is difficult to open and close, and housekeeping had not left toilet paper in that bathroom when we arrived. Upstairs, the bathroom faucet aerator/filter may need to be cleaned, as the water sprays in different directions and can easily get your clothes wet.These were all relatively minor things and certainly didn’t keep us from enjoying our stay. With a little maintenance, this cabin would be even better. We had a lovely visit to Hiawassee and appreciated having such a nice place to call home during our trip!"

"We absolutely loved our stay! This was a last minute trip before our kids start school. Our son loves to fish and he caught a good many in the pond. The little paddle boat was an added bonus of fun. The sound of the creek and panning for gold was fun for my daughter and I. I always travel with kitchen supplies, but that was not needed here. Plenty of spices, coffee filters, and pots and pans. There was also a welcome basket with smores supplies on arrival which was such a nice surprise. Our kids have already asked to go back. Highly recommend!"

"What a beautiful mountain setting at the Nantahala treehouse! The sunsets did not disappoint! We had a lovely stay! It fit our family of 7 perfectly and we enjoyed all of the amenities! We had home cooked meals and fireside chats a few nights and we made fabulous memories, including our rafting trips, tubing and the coaster in Helen! We wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you for letting us make it our home for a week!The host was great and she answered our questions in a timely manner!"

"We loved our experience. The mirror fell off the wall in the downstairs bathroom and we contacted property management but didn’t really hear back. It looked like the wire on the back of the mirror, which was very heavy, broke."

"It was a great stay.Pros: Very comfortable house with a super easy check in and out. Host was great. The 4 bedrooms had a great selection of mattresses, from soft to firm to memory foam. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. Porch had plenty of seating to enjoy my morning coffee and listen to the creek. Great hot tub. Inner tubes, corn hole, and horse shoes were included but it rained most of our stay so we didn't get to use them. There was plenty of indoor games and activities. Cons: you have to go outside to get to the downstairs apartment, only poses an issue when it's storming because you'll get soaked. Light switches were a little confusing at first. The light in the master bedroom could only be controlled with the pull cord on the fan which was hard for me to reach without climbing on the bed. The outdoor gazebo and glider was very nice, but the roof needs some attention. Overall it was definitely a great stay, centrally located so we could visit all of our favorite spots. We would stay here aagain. Photo is of the creek in the back yard ."

"House was comfy, decor adorable, great screened porch to hand out on, I’m a claw foot tub fan, beautiful stone fireplace, full kitchen. Perfect got my terrier as he stayed in his x-pen on the porch & inside. Spacious outdoors for walking & private. parked my vehicle tight by the back foor for easy access to load & unload. Host was friendly & most helpful with internet, directions & met me when I arrived to check in."
