Top Big Powderhorn-Blackjack-Indianhead Hotel Reviews
Quality Inn Ironwood
8/10 Good
"Staff was very friendly and accommodating! Our room was clean and fresh, however there was a lingering smell of tobacco smoke. We mentioned this to the front desk staff. It’s apparent that they are making upgrades to the hotel; newer bathroom fixtures etc. we would stay there again when in the area."
Snowriver Mountain Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We love the hot tub, pool and sauna. The breakfast is great with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and tator tots. Friendly and helpful staff. We have been on the ski chair ride to see the fall colors in the past and it was fun. A nice place to take a short walk, with a pond and views of the ski hills. We go here every year when visisting my mother and always look forward to staying here."

SKI LODGE CONDO NEAR BIG POWDERHORN MTN, BLACK RIVER HARBOR, COPPER PEAK
8/10 Good
"I feel the need to inform future guests that while the unit in this old ski lodge is immaculate, the property itself felt abandoned and unsafe to us. The listing and other reviews I read before booking failed to mention that, at least during the summer months, the whole building is nearly empty. A woman traveling alone or a family with young children should consider this, as well as the lack of cell service in the immediate area. Also, it doesn't seem as if the common areas have been in use for many years, though a marketing flag at the road says there is a bar on site (there is, closed behind locked iron gates). HOT TIP: Summer guests should bring extra fans to move the hot air in the lofted bedroom. Now, all that said, the unit was a bargain and in a fantastic location for visiting the area. We had booked two nights. The owner has decorated the unit really nicely, and everything we needed was available. I respected the owner's request to address any concerns with him if we weren't going to give him a perfect rating, so I let him know the toilet seat was broken, the soap and shampoo dispensers needed filling (though there were a dozen little bottles of shampoo and conditioners from hotels), and that I was concerned that his listing didn't indicate the abandoned state of the building. He suggested I consider that the place is busier at other times of year (fair enough), and then he made a comment that he gets to rate us back, which I found to be inappropriate."

"Overall good."
The Windsong Lodge #3
10/10 Excellent
"Great unit on the second floor with outside access. Our family of 4 had everything we needed for a great weekend. The unit is well equipped for making meals, watching a family movie, and spending the night. The beds are comfy and efficient in the one bedroom. The stairs for the upper unit can be disruptive with people coming and going at night. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again for our Ironwood and Powderhorn adventures."
