Great property, great (ski in/out) location. The team at Big Sky L V were great (thank you), very responsive to questions and checked in with me throughout our stay !
Really wonderful house, very spacious - kitchen was very well stocked, humidifiers were already going in every bedroom when we arrivedGreat communication with host, very easy ski out, ski in easy, just find the narrower entrance above the ski out path, it’s shorter we thought - adorable foxes peeked in the windows!
House was perfect. Enough room for 19 adults to spread out. Kitchen was well stocked. Really liked the separate commercial freezer and frig. Great vacation and great home.
We loved Timber Lodge! It is the perfect home for adults and kids! The kids loved the game room, playing pool, watching movies, the list goes on and on!! The best house so far for 3 families to get together and have a good time catching up. We will be back!!!
Great house, amazing game room. We had a large group of multiple families and there was plenty of room to spread out. Ski in/out access was great. The property managers were super responsive. I would suggest having at least one rental car, since shuttle service is spotty and taxis are expensive (no Uber/Lyft).
House was amazing. Exceeded our expectations. Management company was was great to work with, very responsive and checked in with us throughout the stay. Everything you could want or need for multiple families under one roof. Ski off was not as easy as we would have wanted, but manageable. Ski on was about as easy as it gets for all levels. Hope to book another stay next year! Thanks for a very enjoyable stay!
We had a family get-together with 22 people staying for a week of skiing. The lodge had plenty of space for everyone to be together or spread out. Kitchen has all the appliances, pots and pans, and utensils. We cook for everyone each night without problems (2 dishwashers and 2 ovens were really helpful). Everything in the Lodge is first class! (like the heated walkway to the hot tub).
The best part is the Big Sky Vacation's staff. They were great with comms before we arrived, check-in everyday if we need anything, and shoved the walkways around the house after every snow.
Rented the home with a bunch of friends from around the US for an annual ski trip. Everything was great and better than the pictures. Ski In/Out was easy and convenient.
We had such a wonderful multi generational family reunion here. The property is so well equipped and thought out. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. One day, when we were looking for a particular appliance, they responded immediately and brought us a brand new one to use. It arrived at our property in about 45 minutes. It is such great attention to detail and being of service to others. We will definitely seek this property out in the future.

Very nice property. Pool table and ping pong tables need to be replaced.
We came during the cold snow storm this year Jan 2023. The house is absolutely beautiful. Porter and Mike responded pretty quickly to our needs. The bottom floor had two families down there and in the -10 and below it dropped to 60 deg. They brought us extra firewood and space heaters. We did experience a bothersome leak and this was felt in one of the bedrooms. Most of the bedrooms were super cozy at night. Ski in and ski out is some work. You do some cross country skiing to get in and out. The fridge was nice! We loved the bar and wine station. The property could use more ladles and spatulas. It definitely needed a second frying pan. We had some semi gourmet chefs with us. Also, the grill needs to be fixed or replaced half of the elements did not work. The set up and the roominess was the best we have experienced. It kept everyone in the same floor with one group watching TV. And the other puzzling around the open fire. We do suggest that they update the furniture around the fireplace. The sofa was peeling and sunk in which and therefor uncomfortable. Amazing having so many bathrooms around! The first floor was a wonderful adult and child playground especially when we couldn’t ski in the extreme cold. The large look out windows gave a great view no matter where you were! Sooo relaxing. Overall, it was a terrific experience. Thank you all so much for having us!
This is a spectacular mountain home who’s general maintenance has been somewhat ignored and cleanliness is questionable with lots of cobwebs all about the ceilings. Half of the living room furniture was in desperate need of replacement. Seating on the main couch in living room was a hazard as you sank almost to the floor. No luxury bed linens here! The kitchen was very hard to cook in as it was horribly inadequate in its pan and baking sets. The ice maker was there but not hooked up so with 18 people we were always running down the mountain for ice. The TV didn’t work in 2 bedrooms and the theater room didn’t work. Lots of lightbulbs needing replacement. In an area all about the great outdoors, this house’s outdoor amenities include a very nice hot tub and 4 dirty Walmart grade chairs. The rollaway I requested was not there and when I called a week earlier about firewood, management assured me there was a new cord of wood … there were 9 pieces. For a home in this price point, it provided all the space we needed but was pretty disappointing past that.
We were a group of 10 kids and 10 adults so the layout of the house was fantastic.
Had plenty of space for everyone! One thing I did not realize was the house does not have A/C so it was a little warm some days. Also, there is no ice maker so we continuously had to buy bags of ice!
I felt as though I could do nothing but stay in this cabin and my vacation would have been exceptional. The house had everything and accommodated our group with spacious bedrooms, endless amount of bathrooms, game & theater rooms, as well as my sons favorite, a hot tub. We enjoyed football games and fires each night. The kitchen was large enough for us to congregate, cook and with multiple appliances food storage and clean up was easy! Cannot say enough how impressed we were with this house and the overall experience we had in Big Sky!
We have rented many properties for friends and family vacations and this house was voted our best rental yet by all members of our group. It was clean and spacious with plenty of activities (games and movie room) and gathering spaces. The Big Sky location offers many options for day excursions. The property manager was both helpful and responsive. We would definitely rent again.
Absolutely perfect large family gathering or family reunion!
There are so many pluses to this property. First, all of the multitude of bedrooms have their own private en suite luxury bathrooms which makes it very comfortable for all guests. The kitchen is incredible from a cook’s standpoint - gas range says it all. The few small complaints - no non -stick pans; a few items needed - were addressed quickly. I think the response of the management is commendable. For the few small things we had to deal with Porter and Rachel responded instantly and we appreciated that. Finally the game room was a DREAM COME TRUE! Most nights ended with our entire family reunion having pool; ping-pong; corn hole (we brought the corn hole) tournaments. Lots of space for game nights and hot tubbing. The final night we all watched Cruella in the movie theater and it capped off a really special week! It’s the perfect launching pad for Yellowstone park excursions; Beehive Basin hikes and Ennis fishing excursions. It’s pricey but the amazing warm family memories feel worth it ! Thank you Rachel and Porter for your wonderful response time!
Home was in a beautiful location and had wonderful views of the mountains. Unfortunately, the power in a main bedroom did not work and was not fixed during our stay. Additionally, the dishwasher was broken and was not fixed or repaired during our vacation. When we contacted management regarding these issues, they were already aware of them. This was disappointing due to them not being fixed prior to or during our stay. Due to the price payed for this rental we would expect everything to be working properly.
The overall experience was good. But for the price, there were a lot of headaches, from broken, unusable furniture, appliances that didn’t work properly or at all, broken glass and cigarette butts by the hot tub that also needed attention to the lack of supplies. For the price, we expected 5 ⭐️ accommodations.
The house was beautiful from the moment you drive up. I stayed here with a large group and there was plenty of space for everyone to have privacy as well as places to gather together. If you are wanting to have dinner in, the large table made it comfortable to have everyone sit comfortably.
When having any questions, we always received a quick response from Rachel.
Would absolutely recommend this house and would stay again the next time I travel back to Big Sky.
Even while getting an unexpected foot of snow during our stay the house was nothing but amazing and couldn’t have asked for a better place to gather under one roof.
