"Staff were not able to tell me what restaurants there were when asked if there was a Chinese or Italian restaurant in the area. Air conditioning kept going on to standby even though the room was still cold At 12.00 midnight on night three there was a false fire alarm and evacuation that had us all standing in Canberra's cold night for an hour. There did not appear to be anyone representing the hotel on site overnight. It also did not seem that either the police or fire brigade attended. The next morning the reception staff did not know about the evacuation."

"Employee on front desk when we arrived was very friendly, helpful and cheerful! Complex is huge with lots of rooms. Ours was clean, comfortable and plenty of room. Heater was fairly new and did a fabulous job keeping us warm during a Canberra winter night and morning! Parking was close to the entrance to our block and easy to negotiate. A large school group arrived into our block shortly after we settled into our room which was a little daunting, but honestly they made very little noise or caused any problems - very impressed with their behaviour!!! There was a restaurant onsite, but we didn’t use it as the Harmonie German Club was just around the corner (walking distance) and as we’d eaten there before we knew that’s where we wanted to eat!!! Cannot comment on breakfast as we had to attend a medical appointment early the next morning, so just had a cuppa in our room before departing."
