"My stay at Country Inn, Mukteshwar was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. The hotel’s location is very inconvenient, and it is difficult to reach without a dedicated driver. Upon arrival, the property did not feel like a professionally managed hotel. Instead, it seemed more like a locally run setup lacking proper hospitality standards. The room quality was not at all justified for the price being charged. There was very limited staff available, and even for basic requests I had to repeatedly call and wait a long time before receiving any assistance. The room had a large number of flies, which made the stay uncomfortable, especially for my children, as they were constantly disturbed and unable to sleep properly. Several basic amenities were either missing or not functioning. The TV was not working, the hair dryer was defective, and there was no dental kit, tea/coffee setup, or other standard room essentials that one would expect at this price point. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. There were very few options available, and the food quality and taste were poor. To make matters worse, during checkout I was incorrectly asked to pay for breakfast even though it was already included in my booking package. The issue was eventually resolved only after I contacted my booking agency, which caused unnecessary inconvenience and frustration. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. "This is a special place—a beautiful new hotel with comfortable, thoughtfully designed rooms, kind staff, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. It feels more like staying in someone’s home than a typical hotel, while still offering everything you’d want as a modern traveler. The rooms are spacious, sleek and well-designed, the food is excellent, and the staff truly care about making your stay easy and enjoyable. There is no other place like it anywhere in this part of India, it is truly a gem. We stayed for four nights and loved being able to walk to nearby trails, including Pandukholi and Mahavatar Babaji’s cave. The team was attentive to every detail, including our dietary preferences, which made a big difference. The owners have also created meaningful initiatives to support local women and families in the community, and you can feel that care reflected in how the hotel is run. It’s a place we’d happily return to and will recommend to everyone we know planning a trip to Babaji’s cave!
