Biodola Beach

Property was as describe, view was perfect, easy to find. Very clean AC wasn’t the best, however, we visited from the US so our AC is very cold. We never saw the owners, they left check-in instructions. They were semi- responsive già whatsapp. Bed is a very firm mattess.

we choose this place because it clearly said there was a WASHER AND DRYER under amenities. it states daily housekeeping,robes,and bidet. none at the property. i got in 2 1/2 hrs.later! i asked where w/d ? he said there is none! i filed a complaint with expedia.. there are no towels for the beach...you have to go to the remote property to get towels for the beach. there is no cleaning service or towel exchange. there is no one to greet you at the prpty. there is no way to get in.there is a # on the door i called twice on what's app and got a message saying this # was not receiving messages! i had to go find a remote property address to get to a so called reception desk. there's no reception staffed by anyone. a nice man here called the same #number .no luck. a lady in a place next door called a couple of times also.. he called her back and i got the code finally to get in. he told me never to use the key. ? he says to call him 24 hours in advance of arrival to get the code. my husband tied up our suitcases with locks to the railing and went out to seek help too. he ran into a kind soul who called 5 times before he answered! the last night at 21:25 there was a knock on our door. he sent his elderly father over to take a picture of our passports. this night we were locked out and had to use the mysterious key.

We had a wonderful stay at Arpaiu – Odeyo Sas in Manarola. Our room was charming, clean, and minimalist, with a window overlooking the south side of the marina from high above the village. One of our favorite memories was sleeping with the window open and listening to the waves crash against the rocks below—it was incredibly peaceful and almost meditative. Upstairs, there is a comfortable common area with Nespresso available 24/7 and an awesome outdoor deck with spectacular views of the cliffs and coastline. One important tip: pay close attention to the owner’s directions when arriving from the train tunnel! There is a much easier ramp leading up to the hotel. We saw other guests following Google Maps and struggling up the stairs with their luggage—not a fun way to arrive! Tatyana, the house staff, was wonderful. She prepared a delicious breakfast for us on our first morning and even took care of our dirty laundry for a very reasonable fee, which was especially appreciated while traveling. The location is also very convenient for quickly accessing the train and exploring the other Cinque Terre villages. Overall, Arpaiu was a wonderful and memorable stay. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Manarola.
