"This has to be the most unique hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The layout of the hotel is so cool and unique. Although the rooms were small, it really has everything that you need. The bed was super comfortable and I got really good sleep. The people at the hotel were super kind, super accommodating and very friendly. I absolutely love the music that they were playing in the background so much that I even asked for the playlist. The breakfast was absolutely amazing every day I had the pancakes, the rice and the French toast. Everything was delicious. I also had dinner there one night and it was pretty good as well. The drinks at the bar were good and the bartender was kind and quick."
Beachside Designer Home with Pool

"The home was very clean! At first the extra blankets in the bedroom smelled of mildew (impossible to avoid in that climate) but the host quickly came and washed and returned them. The house is so close to the ocean you can hear the waves all the time, and see the beach from the balcony. Yes there is some road noise but that's inescapable, and the neighbor with barking dogs doesn't seem to let them out much; they were no bother at all. We were happy we had a rental car for the 6 minute drive to everything in Puerto Viejo. The pool is tiny but good to dunk yourself in to cool off. We enjoyed visits from Blanquita (the friendly resident cat) and gave her chicken to eat."

"This house was nice for the area. We saw some much wildlife in the backyard. The pool was nice. The beds were comfortable. It was nice to have air conditioning, and they include a complimentary laundry service which was helpful. The host was easy to communicate with. The beach is a short walk away with a private gate to enter it, but the path to that beach is very muddy during the rainy season and so walking down the road to the more public beach entrance might be preferable. This is still really close to the property. It was a nice location for exploring the Caribbean coast, close to all the beach towns."

"The room and facilities were very nice, breakfast was good. But the main reason for our very favorable review is how the entire staff and the owners were so helpful. They spent lots of time talking to us and had useful recommendations on what to do, where to go, what to eat, and in general gave a wonderful introduction to the area. Above and beyond what we have experienced at similar properties."

"Beautiful gardens. Well stocked. Extremely kind and helpful hosts. Very close to the silky black sands of Playa Negra. We loved walking to town on the beach. It is close to everything but also very easy to feel completely at rest and secluded. Very safe."

"We are a family of 6 adults and all immediately loved the space! The air conditioned rooms were perfect and we loved how they individually opened to the garden and pool area. We are from Colorado so we were concerned about the humid air but the fans in the outdoor space and the pool were great to keep us comfortable and a reprieve to the bedrooms at night to sleep were perfect. The location is great. We squeezed in a lot of fun and delicious food in a short amount of time. By the way, the kitchen is fantastic if you want to cook at home. We did grill one night but the restaurants were so delicious both in Puerto Viejo and Cuhuita we just kept going back to try more! We didn't have the need to contact the hosts very much but when we did, they were very responsive and helpful.We would absolutely return!"

"Los anfitriones fueron muy amables y estuvieron siempre atentos a nuestras preguntas. El proceso de check in y check out fue muy fácil y rápido. La casa es muy bonita, tiene aire acondicionado en el cuarto principal, lo único que diríamos es que a la sala le hace falta iluminación, ya que es un poco oscura. Todo lo demás estuvo excelente, la casa está muy bien equipada y está ubicada en un muy buen lugar. Nos encantó que Héctor (el gatito) llegara, es muy juguetón y cariñoso. Muchas gracias!"
