Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! Rollinsville is an ideal spot for backcountry skiing, hiking, off-roading, snowshoeing, mountain biking, and more!!
Rollinsville is a tiny mountain town with 270 residents. It located off of highway 119 between Nederland and Black Hawk. At 8500ft elevation, it is home to premier hiking and 4x4 trails. Rollins Pass is an iconic road that travels through the mountains to Winter Park and was later replaced by the Moffat tunnel. This road attracts off-road enthusiasts, mountain/dirt bikers, runners, and hikers. Year round, the hiking trails at Moffat tunnel, Arapahoe lakes and Crater Lakes, are popular for hiking, snowshoeing, and backcountry skiing. The town itself is home to local mountain folks and hippies. Please respect the neighbors private land here and be respectful of noise level at night. Take a short ride down to the town of Rollinsville to check out some of the original town buildings from the 1870’s and stop by the Howlin Wind Brewery for some locally brewed beer and coffee!
