    The Space:

    An ideal landing pad for a multi-family/multi-generational mountain getaway, Valley View Lodge is set on a mountainside overlooking Camp Rockmont's Homestead Farm! Within quick driving distance of the lodge, guests can enjoy exploring Black Mountain and Asheville, offering a variety of locally-owned shops, live music venues, and eateries. The fun continues back at Valley View Lodge gathered around the Pool table, Foosball or board games. A firepit will help extend the memorable moments. The home's game room opens up into the spacious bunk room, ideal for any member of the family. This space boasts seven beds. The open layout flows naturally from the full kitchen and dining area into the great room. This space is perfect for movie viewings and evening chats. Central heat and air-conditioning, a private washer/dryer, a smart TV, bluetooth speakers and internet access round out the interior amenities. Mountain sunsets and starry night skies are best enjoyed on the large deck or open the glass panel doors to open the house up to the outdoors, boasting some of the best views in Western North Carolina!

Good visit. Attentive to a couple of the issues we had come up- and resolved quickly. Communication was good. Great house for 3 moms and 3 teen guys on a mother/son trip l. Cataloochie was about 20-25 min away (Apple Maps made it look like it was just a short drive - but one of the roads it tries to route you is private- so you have to go around and through Maggie Valley)- but still easy to get to and a great place to stay to ski/snowboard! Highly recommend!

The cabin was just as described. We enjoyed skiing at Cataloochie and then going one day to see the elk. It was spacious, clean, updated, and nice.

Spacious house with great hang out areas. Chef’s kitchen, grill, and Blackstone for tons of cooking options. High end finishes everywhere. Hot tub was great. Amazing view of the mountains. Only problem I had was we had to leave to go back home. Highly recommend!

We stayed 3 nights with 6 adults and 3 children under three. There was plenty of space for all of us. The house was spotless and beautiful inside and out. We had everything we needed for our stay. We cooked every meal at the house, using the outdoor grill and well equipped kitchen. The TVs and wifi worked great, the pool table and downstairs fridge made it a great place to hangout. The back deck is large with plenty of space for the kids to play and the adults to enjoy the gorgeous view of the mountains. We can't wait to go back!

Mountain Valley Splendor

This is a wonderful home. Motorcycle accessible and friendly but parking is tricky. 4br/3ba. Game room with pool table and kitchenette. Lots of space. Easy to find. Close to Maggie Valley. Off the main highway. Plenty of amenities. Hot tub was amazing! We couldn't turn on the light/fan in the game room but there was a lamp. Beautiful views from the back deck. Would definitely stay again.

The indoor and outdoor space was really nice. The house was well-maintained and clean. The overhead light in one of the bedrooms was broken and would not turn on (needed more than a new light bulb). The master bed was not comfortable. It had humps in the mattress. For me personally, I rate the bed comfort as one of my most important features. There are many nice things about the house, but because I need a good night's sleep, I would not rent the house again. If you are looking for a nice porch and open floor plan, you would like this house.

AMAZING STAY

The house is beautiful and super comfortable, very spacious living area and big bedrooms. The house has a lot of large beds plus a bunk bed and a twin bed. The house was very clean with good quality linen and blankets (which are important to me).The lower floor has a private master bedroom, a kitchen and a pool table (with new poles!) which was great.We loved that the balcony is spaciouse and is on the second floor, which is great for privacy and for enjoying the view.The access is very easy with good roads.Kitchen feels brand new.Sofa - very very comfortableTV - has Disney plus, Netflix and everything you can wish forThe fire pit is super coolIt really makes you feel at home and super cozy right away!The house is equipped with extra soaps, shampoo, toilet papers, dish soaps, paper towel... you name it.The Cataloochee ski area is very close which adds to the experience!I would definitely recommend this house!We really enjoyed, and the communication is top service on the spot.

Great Possibilities

This home was full of possibilities. The layout was well thought out and the features were good. They have all of the basics covered with bedrooms and recreational areas. They can accommodate adults and children with king and bunk beds. They have a fire pit and jaccuzi and even a pool table. The only issies were (a) get to g access to the unit, (b) supplies and (c) condition. The combination lock did not work and we had to spend an hour on the phone upon arrival getting in. The paper towels and toilet paper were subpar and we were only given one paper towel roll for the kitchen and one for each bathroom. The condition of the outdoor furnifure, decks, fire pit and barbecue pit were dirty and did not perform well.

Great place to stay for a weekend in Asheville. Host was excellent, let me check in very early, beautiful and secluded place. We did lose hot water at the end of the stay but Im sure it will be fixed quickly

Amazing location. All the amenities you need. 30 minutes to Cataloochee ski area. A few things that made it less than ideal- 3 of the 4 bedrooms are right off the living room so if anyone is hanging out later than others it’s impossible to sleep. At least two of the king beds were super squeaky
